Rating: Summary: The classic is back! Review: I watched Tranformers: The Movie all the time as a kid. I was obsessed with the whole series and had pratically every action figure they made for it. I eventually lost the movie and it was too late to find it in any stores because they didn't make it anymore. Now, it's on Amazon.com, so I immediately ordered it at the site. It just arrived yesterday, and I watched it twice. And from what I've seen, I can say this is the best movie ever. I can tell you, from when I saw it as a kid (I'm 15 years old) things have changed. This movie is beginning to show its age. The animation is a little choppy (but still good) and the music is lame 80s metal. However, the character designs are amazing, and I think it's better anything Disney could do. The voices to all the characters fit their personalities well. For instance, Unicrons' voice is very low and dark, while HotRod sounds like a 20 year old. The movie is a lot grittier than the series or any other American cartoon I've seen. A lot of robots die, there's some cursing, and some robots are scary. (Unicron's voice still scares me to this day) The whole movie isn't dark, of course. Grimlock and the dino-bots still have their stupidity and add comical relief to the series moments. There's a lot of fighting in this but there's plenty of drama and talking, too. I think Tranformers the Movie wasn't just targeted for kids, but for everyone. The movie itself is short, running at only 86 minutes. They're a lot of loose ends at the end, but its still a "happy" ending. You'll feel good after seeing it, trust me. For anyone who liked the series and the fad as a kid, you MUST get this movie. For those of you who don't like Transformers, well, this might not change your mind, but you should at least get it for your kids as a break from Pokemon. In conclusion, this movie just has everything, from fighting, death, love, anger, and hatred. Don't let my review decide for you, see the movie yourself, and experience the adventure of a lifetime.
Rating: Summary: The GREATEST animated movie of all ! Review: It's been about 12 years since i saw it first and even now i can't stop watching it. The transformer story kicked up a notch. More serious, never thought id see any of them die, but the carnage is massive, and the story line, along with the introduction of many new characters just adds to the already huge replay value. By far one of the most treasured films in my whole movie collection.
Rating: Summary: This is a must own for Transformer's fans! Review: There are lots of good things and a couple of bad things about the Transformers - The Movie. First the bad... Throughout many of the action sequences the music is overpowering instead of flowing with the action scenes. Its actually annoying. Its fill in music that should have been replaced with background music as it was done in the TV Series on which this movie is based. My only other problem was some missing characters that I would have like to see such as the Aerialbots, the Protectobots, the Combaticons, and The Stunticons. Ok...that was the bad...Now the Good. The animation is first class, it rivals Japanese Anime...yes it is that good. The story is very good. It contains a ton of action, and some drama but doesnt slow down once during its 90 minutes. You will see the demise of some of your favorite Autobot/ Decepticon characters, but you will have to watch and see which ones. There are big name actors doing voices for many of the characters. New enemies are introduced (if you thought Megatron was bad, you haven't seen anything yet! ) which play a hand in the future episodes of the series. If you plan to buy any of the volumes or 3 episode sets that are currently on sale, you need to buy this first. Those episodes are not in Chronological order, and skip around between old and newer episodes where the characters are completely different. You will be very confused without seeing this movie. This movie will answer many questions that you will have such as where did Galvatron and Rodimus Prime come from, and also where some of your favorite characters disappeared to! Bottomline this is a must own for Transformer fans! Highly Recommended!
Rating: Summary: THE GREATEST MOVIE............EVER Review: All I have to say is that words cannot describe how awesome this film is.....I watch some of the "new" Japanese cartoons on TV and they aren't nearly as good, (animation wise, and quality wise), as this fantastic work of art....THANK YOU Transformers!

Rating: Summary: Transformers The Movie Review: Pretty good movie if you are a fan of the Transformers; terrible movie if you are not. The animation and writing on this movie are tolerable but far from fantastic. Certainly not the cinematic masterpiece that some seem to think. Overall,I would say that this is enjoyable fluff for us fanboys.
