Rating: Summary: Well, OF COURSE it gets five stars! Review: I mean, come on, he's Spongebob! The first season of the best cartoon of the past decade has FINALLY been released on DVD. This is Nickelodeon's first TV show release, and they've done a great job with. It's 474 minutes of entertainment, and the special features are very interesting (I especially recommend the one about voicing the characters.) While the first season of Spongebob is not the best part, it is a fabulous series start to finish, and I can't wait for the next DVD release.
Rating: Summary: Not exactly the entire first season. Review: Being a Spongebob fanatic I was excited about the season one release. I rated it 4 out 5 stars, because it seems that they have left out one episode. "Help wanted" is no where to be found on the dvd's. It's not even listed on the back. Maybe they will come out with the "Absolutely Complete Spongebob Squarepants Season 1 DvD". After all they did release all those other compilations first. If anyone finds the missing episode as an easter egg please post here
Rating: Summary: Now its time to bring it around town.... Review: I bought this last Tuesday! Although I own the previous Spongebob DVD's..this IS the best!! (even though, the ones I own contain many of these episodes) I cant wait until season 2..hehehe Finally, Bubblestand!! WOO HOO the BEST Spongebob episode to date!
Rating: Summary: If everyone acted as Spongebob the world would be better Review: I absolutely adore Spongebob. I love that my 5 children watch the show. Spongebob is such a good decent role model! He is a hard worker, loves others even if they are mean to him, is generous, kind, funny, and just plain lovable. I think this is one of the best shows for children and hope they keep it comin'!!!
Rating: Summary: Good stuff Review: Okay, i love this show. But, it does get annoying, so i deducted one star. I also noticed that the first season does not include the best episode of anything ever, "Sailor Mouth". So i deducted one point..It doesn't really matter what i think cause if you love Spongebob, you're gonna buy this anyway.
Rating: Summary: What a novel idea! Why didn't someone think of this before? Review: SpongeBob SquarePants is a great show, and even though you can catch it quite often on Nickelodeon, a purchase of this DVD collection is still warranted. The thing I would like to know is: why didn't they just release this set in the first place instead of the onslaught of individual "themed" discs? I know the answer ($$), but I still wish this had been released a long time ago. SpongeBob is some of the best cartoon television I have ever seen, and the first season contains some of the best moments. However, I have one question: Where's the pilot episode? It's NOT on here, and it should be. Other than that, it's a great set that even mild fans of the series should own. I just wish Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network would release similar season-length (or even series-length) DVD collections of their better shows. I loved the early seasons of "Rugrats", the Nickelodeon episodes of "Doug", "Ed, Edd, n' Eddy", the earlier episodes of "Dexter's Laboratory", and many others. There are classic shows that need to be preserved in a digital format. I know they would earn my purchase.
Rating: Summary: all right nick, let's continue... Review: it's cool to have all the spongebob episodes in one place. Now nick, what about your really cool shows like Invader Zim, or even...dare I say it... Pinwheel!? Spongebob is on everyday any way, but I'd pay a pretty penny for a complete pinwheel set...
Rating: Summary: I never saw this coming Review: If you didn't know how popular Spongebob is than this is definite proof. The first ever Nick Toon to receive a complete Season 1 DVD release. This is almost unheard of in the world of 12 minute shorts made for children the age 5 and over. Unlike all the other Nick Toons Spongebob has hit a chord that hasn't been struck since the likes of Ren and Stimpy have graced our television sets. Its a shame we all bought the past releases thinking "well this is as good as it gets." I never saw this coming I am both shocked and happily surprised. Sure I feel ripped off, but I'm glad I can get all the episodes now. Those ten per episode discs were boggling my mind with no end as to how would I own them all?Just release all three seasons within a reasonable time span and one day I will completely forgive them for misleading us with the single disc releases. Can't wait for the movie. All hail the magic conch!! blurlwowhwowoww!!!
Rating: Summary: y the wait? Review: boy nickolodean will do anything to get a buck. what a good idea to make ppl waste money on the 14 dollar dvds that only have 9 episodes on them for the past 2 years. are people just supposed to throw those dvds away? even if parent bought them for their children, they are still going to want the complete first set because it says "sponge bob" on it.. what a good idea, wish it was mine.
