Rating: Summary: hoorah for a grand day out Review: 1st. Dont class a grand day out to the other 2. When this came out it was groundbreaking in every way, nothing came close. Thats why the second was better, it was meant to be. 2nd. Buy this. Not only do my 2, 8 & 9 year olds watch this, they have worn out the tapes. They aren't boring, are truely English and you won't be disappointed. Better than anything Disney will ever put out.
Rating: Summary: Hilarious! Review: Are these wonderful, or what? I am not too impressed by the DVD "extras", but the three movies make up for it, and more. Of course, one can miss 5.1 surround, but I guess that wasn't an option when they made the movies :)Works for all ages. Absolutely hilarious!
Rating: Summary: Pure Genius! Review: I wish that the makers of feature length films would put half as much thought into detail as the makers of these 20 minute "shorts" did. Just look at the wallpaper, the items in the museum (a violin wrapped like a mummy), and flecks of paint on the ladder. The dialog is brilliant and the action is hillarious. Buy this now, or you may be cursed with dull children.
Rating: Summary: Family movies Review: Personally I think the fact that these videos are in the Guinness book of world Records for the most Academy award nominations, and the fact that two of the videos won academy awards is a big plus. But another one is that the entire family will enjoy the videos, and don't let the "Not Rated" scare you, I would give them all a "G." I think these videos are some of the best made and I watch them over and over.
Rating: Summary: Academy Award-winning work well worth your time Review: It's easy to mistake this as children's material. But fortunately this is a case of a piece of art being genuinely for all audiences. It's appeal to children is somewhat obvious, but it's attraction for adults is all in the filmmaking. Don't let the claymation fool you: this is a *film*. Camera angles, lighting, scripts, shot composition and cinematography are all as carefuly crafted as the clay figures themselves. Humor easily works on several levels, and within seconds you'll be lost in the world of Wallace and Grommit--whether you have kids or not.
Rating: Summary: Just another guy Review: This is one of the funniest, most entertaining things I own. Wallace and Gromit is the epitome of animation perfection. I think that this DVD is a great buy for anyone who wants to watch something entertaining. It is certainly something that will make you want to stick it again and again into your DVD player to watch over and over.
Rating: Summary: Make Your Day Review: My 3 year old daughter and I love these movies. We have watched them,oh I don't know how many times, yet each time I watch I always find something I haven't spotted before. The attention to detail is truly staggering.I especially love the books Gromit reads,"The Republic" by Pluto and others.Feathers McGraw in "The Wrong Trousers"is a wonderful villian. As for my daughter she laughs out loud at Wallace misadventures.Definitely fun for all the family.

It is very cute creative & is very humorus. You will escpecially love how he gets ready in the morning. WATCH IT YOU'LL LOVE IT, I GARAUNTEE IT!
Rating: Summary: Wallace and Grommit Review: Mr. Parks hits a homerun with these videos. The attention to detail and solid storylines make them three of the best "shorts" ever. They appeal to children of all ages. Today's Disney could never match these offerings....but this is what Walt had in mind. Pure fun and enjoyment- I must for any video collector.
Rating: Summary: Classic family entertainment Review: Even though I have seen these before I cannot help laughing all over again. The second and third viewing enables you to spot the subtle expressions and added humour which Nick puts into the films. Although the extras are more historical than hysterical they help the veiwer understand the early work. Roll on the next 5 films due to be made 2000 - 2003. An excellent family piece of entertainment.
