Summary: A long waited DVD... at last in my hands!
Review: I've waited for this animation to be released on dvd ever since I heard of possibility of dvd invention years ago. I've loved it that much. I finally got this dvd and it's like a dream come true. I too was a bit disappointed by its lack of 'side dishes(special features)', which never stops me loving this film. What a lovely story! How wonderful the music is! This dvd is a must have. P.S. A video pause in chapter 17 is not a glitch. It is the very moment for switching to the other layer.

Summary: An amazing movie
Review: The picture and sound quility of the film are amazing on DVD. The story is absolutely breathtaking. The only knock I have about the DVD is for the extra price of being a Disney DVD, why couldn't they throw in a few extras like so many other DVD movie releases have done - I felt that Disney got cheap on us on that respect, that's why I gave them 4 stars, instead of 5. The movie on widescreen will blow you and your children away, but I was expecting a few extras like most other DVD's.

Review: The sound is great (full-digital) and the video is crisp and clear. The extras on this DVD were extremly lacking. No extra audio or video selection (Widescreen or Standard) but the standard language selection! Also there was a slight video pause in chapter 17. Overall great DVD to add to the Disney collection.

Review: The Little Mermaid may not be the original Disney film but it is definitely one of the best. Animation is spectacular and it has a classic charm that simply won't age. The plot moves away from the child's fairytale, but the Disney magic gives it something very special indeed. It is the story of Ariel, a headstrong young mermaid who is determined to become part of the human world above. She falls in love with a prince, and the rest? you'll have to watch the film!

Review: The Little Mermaid is the only Disney DVD I'm going to purchase this fall. It will be nice to see this movie in letterbox format after years of pan-and-scan mediocrity on the VHS version. I was hoping for Beauty and the Beast on DVD, but apparently Disney wants to re-release that in theatres soon. Anyway, LM will be under my Christmas tree this December, no doubt!
