Rating: Summary: JEM is Truly Outrageous! Review: Ok catchy title, right? So here goes: Jem was all about doing the right thing and doing it well. I recall there being one episode (The Music Awards) where Jem was going to attend the Music Awards but had previously said yes to helping Danse out with her Haven House project. Jem had to decline Danse's offer to go to the Awards because it was a huge deal and she could get a lot of pr for it. Much to Jem's dismay, 3 of the Starlight girls had run away and joined up with The Misfits, only to end up doing their dirty housework in exchange for tickets to their concert. The Starlights girls decided this wasn't going to go on for long and decided to leave. They met up with this boy (forgot his name) and learned his dad threw him out of the house. One of the girls suggested he go back with them to Starlight House (where they were all from) and get help from Jerrica, but as they were talking about this, a guy overheard them and told them of this great place called Haven House. He gave the kid a flyer-type thing and went on his way. The Starlight girls took him by the place, and it seemed to be empty, but in the backyard, Danse was getting into her car to go to the concert. One of the Starlight girls saw her driving away and ran out in front of her and Danse offered to takek them to the concert where she was meeting Jem and they all ended up back together and had a great concert. The Misfits won the award for Best New Artist and go over to the benefit to shove it in Jem's face, but when they arrive, they all see how much happier Jem and everyone is and somehow the award doesn't seem as important to anyone, especially Pizzazz. The show taught values, morals and that doing the right thing is better, in the end. I could go on here about how tv shows for kids today lack what I had growing up, but I do see some shows that are doing the right thing (Blue's Clues is the only one I can think of that's new; Sesame Street's been doing it for years) about teaching kids to respect others and be kind and courteous and to never get into a stranger's car even IF they say their mom/dad/whoever sent for them since they're "in the hospital." All-in-all, I'm glad to see Jem finally on DVD. I hope a younger generation can grow up with the same kind of values and messages that I got from this show and hopefully we can start liking one another better.
Rating: Summary: FINALLY! A "Truly Outrageous" DVD!! Review: It's about time that one of the greatest cartoons of all-time come to DVD. "Jem" was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. It was creative, very well-written, and just plain fun. They sure don't make cartoons today like they used to. Don't be fooled by "Seasons 1 & 2" like I was when I first heard about the release. They're counting the 5-part pilot miniseries ("The Beginning" - "Battle of the Bands") as season 1, and "Starbright, Part 1" through "Glitter 'n Gold" as season 2. If you're a Jem fan of any kind, this DVD set is for you! Rhino says future releases will follow later in the year if this one sells well. So I stronly encourage every fan out there to buy this set when it comes out and support the truly outrageous JEM!!! (...) I got the DVD the day it came out and just finished viewing all the discs in their entirety, extras and all. Rhino did a fantastic job in remastering the episodes, the picture quality and sound is superb. Like others have mentioned, the only flaws in this set are (1). In the episode "The World Hunger Shindig" on Disc 2, the songs "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme" and "Share a Little Bit" are way out of sync, making both songs virtually unlistenable, (2). Pizzazz's hair is more of an olive/brownish tint rather than bright green in these episodes (must have happened somewhere in the remastering process), and (3). the images in the packaging are very poorly drawn. To me, they almost look like those hideosus looking drawings from anime cartoons. Other than those minor complaints the set is awesome. I also enjoyed the extras very much. I've heard through the grapevine that Christy Marx posted in a Jem Yahoo group saying that Rhino said the set's sales are doing well so far and to expect another release "very soon." Hopefully in the next release the minor flaws mentioned above will be corrected and some more great extras. One extra that I know would be awesome would be a bonus audio CD filled with all the great Jem and Misfits songs.
Rating: Summary: Extremelly excellent "BUT" Review: Really nice a great gift for all the fans but the grafic art of the box is terrible, the drawings are made with Corel Draw but they dont look well it looks like a kid of six years did them, but omitting this the dvd is great i truly recomend it.

Rating: Summary: Childhood memories! Yippeeee! Review: When I found out that the first three seasons of Jem had been released on DVD I flipped! I'm nineteen and was just a kid when Jem was popular, but completely idolized her and her kick ass girly band. It made me want to be a drummer! It's amazing how a tiny piece of popular culture could make such an imprint on a single person. Jem definitely rocks my world and this DVD is worth every penny!

The main hook was the 1 minute videos they offer us along the 30 minutes each episode lasted
I was so in love with the voice of Jem!!!!
Is great that Rhino is giving us the pleasure of having all of this flashbacks witch quality you dont see anymore.
