Summary: Very good.
Review: Not as spellbinding as Superman 1(but pretty darn close),this is nontheless a very entertaining film. The fight in Metropolis is about as good as the filmmakers could do considering the technology of the time. The tide of battle recedes constantly, with Superman's experience of his powers and the need to protect the citizens of Metropolis against the ruthless zeal of the three villains. The most jaw dropping part of the battle is where Non and Superman go at each other in the sewers. In tis scene they show only the street view, with only loud punch sound effects and quaking citizens and street. Very exciting. However the most moving part of the movie is when the villains throw a bus at Superman. He doesn't emerge for a while, and the citizens of Metropolis, believing Superman dead, start to charge the supervillains as an act of revenge. How many superhero movies have scenes like that? The Kryptonians are perfectly cast, and Christopher Reeve, as everybody has surely heard by now, is the only Superman.

Summary: Superman II
Review: They did it! A sequel with the same majesty of the original. Superman II brings the magic and awe of the comic-book hero to our screens in the same, lovable mood as Superman: The Movie. The scenes between Lois and Clark Kent as he tries and tries to persuade her to be with him are compelling. Gene Hackman returning as arch-villan Lex Luthor and Terence Stamp as General Zod make lovable enemies that will make you laugh and cry till the very end. Highly recommended. See it!

Summary: The best movie of the saga.
Review: Superman II captured the essence of the comic strip it allowed us to see the superman fighting by the first time against real supervillains. When at last it seemed that he was going to share the rest of his life together with his loved Louise, the hell broke loose and he had to embark once again in a fight for the future of the World. Everything is lost, General Zod, Ursa and Luthor look unstopabble but the intellingence is more powerful than brute force, and the Man of Steel is a very clever man.

Summary: SEXY SARAH!
Review: This is a fun movie that has everything you can possibly ask for from a comic book film. It is fun, and best of all it features a great and SEXY performance from SARAH DOUGLAS! She is the stuff that fantasies are made of. The other reviews were dead on. Is there anything sexier than her dominating males in her thigh high black boots? By the way this is a great movie too!

Summary: THREE REASONS TO BUY
Review: Terrence Stamp as General Zod! Sarah Douglas as Ursa!

Oh, yeah, and a guy named Christopher Reeve as the only one worthy of donning Sup's tights!

Summary: The Adventure Continues ...
Review: Terriffic action-fantasy continuing from where the first adventure left-off. Part Two jump's imediately into action and romance this time developing the budding relationship between Superman and Lois Lane and the freeing of the Phantom Zone Villans whom descend to earth wreaking havoc and mayhem led by General Zod and co-hort's into a climactic confrontation against their jailor Jor-el's son, Superman in a spectacular battle above and on the street's of Metropolis observed all the while by Lex Luthor promised personal-gain for providing Superman's whereabout's by Zod. Big production value's and location setting's make this sequel a blockbuster winner. Excellent performances by cast Chris Reeve,Gene Hackman,Margot Kidder, Terence Stamp,Sarah Douglas & Jack O'Halloron. Music score and sound effect's a letdown as is nonexistent extra featurette's on behind-the-scenes of the Making of ..... All-up clean picture in widescreen and fun entertainment the best sequel only to it's big-daddy predecessor "Superman-Special Edition". Must see for kid's and fan's alike

Summary: Waiting for DVD...
Review: Superman II, is an epic conclusion to the first film thatshould have concluded the series. Superman III and IV were disgracesto the name Superman.

Gene Hackman delivers a brilliant performance as Lex Luther, and Sarah Douglas and Terrence Stamp turn in equal performances as the villians out to get Superman. Everyone has seen the film I'm sure, and if you have not, dont wait any longer. Watch the 1st then the second, and stop there. You wont be sorry.

It's a shame these are not on DVD yet, as the 5.1 surround and letterbox will make these films epics in film history. END

Summary: Incredible movie with incredible battle scene!
Review: This Superman sequel may not be quite as good as the original, but it is still nothing short of spellbinding! The script is well written, the special effects never cease to amaze, the characters are as fresh as ever, and Ken Thorne's soundtrack is on the same plateau as John William's score from the original! If it's this good at 127 minutes, should I ever see it with the Richard Donner footage, it looks like it will be incredible! But for now, let's all enjoy this classic version that is part of a movie series that may deteriorate in sound and picture, but never in value!

Summary: A Masterpiece and almost as good as Superman 4
Review: I found this film to be second only to Superman 4. Its a pity that the orignal footage was not included.Hopefully the DvD's of both Superman 2 and 4 will restore the unseen footage. Terence Stamp was the best choice as General Zod and Sarah Doughlas was just as brilliant. This film really tries to make us appreciate Superman being there for us. "GENERAL WOULD YOU CARE TO STEP OUTSIDE" "I'M NOT A COWARD ZOD" Super!
