Rating: Summary: A classic for the young at heart Review: I remember watching this movie when I was little, not even realizing it was based on a novel. Having read the novel some 14 years later, the movie very acurately portrays Beagle's novel with only one chapter omitted. The animation is superb, anothe triumpth by Rankin-Bass. the only problem is that, with most cartoons, the music gets quite annoying at times. But a little advice, read the novel first, that way you'll understand the finer points of the movie better.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely An AWESOME Movie!!! Review: This is probably my favorite movie of all times. It has everything...unicorns(obvisously)harpies,the famous RED BULL, manticores, wizards and a whole lot more. I love the whole story line of the movie, how the unicorn is all alone and she goes out in search of the others. It's a very touching movie and parts will keep you right on the edge of your seat...you'll be sorry when it ends and probably end up like me(rewind it as fast as you can and watch it again). You'll love this movie, there isn't any possible way you can't!
Rating: Summary: This movie is the best! Review: Once you see this movie, it's hard to forget it. you can't forget the characters, the music, the story. It's like the deepest cartoon next to The prince of Egypt. and the music...it just makes you want to cry.I love all the songs!A classic forever. To show your children. the last unicorn is just the stuff.
Rating: Summary: My first love... Review: Apparently every single person my age loved this movie as a child, and apparently every one of us thinks that they are the only ones to have seen it. Words cannot describe how perfect and wonderful this movie is... the only thing that might make people not like it is the fact that it is animated. But even the animation is so beautiful and unique - it's real 80's Rankin/Bass, and very distinct. The plot line is something that children can get caught up in, and that everyone can empathize with - feeling alone, and searching for others like you. The cast is wonderful, my personal favorite being Shmendrick, the failed magician (Be wary of wowsing a wizards' wath... rousing a risards... be wary of making a wizard angry!...) The humor is sophisticated, the plot is entertaining, and the scenes are animated with a poignant beauty that you just can't find in modern Disney. I'm instructing you to BUY THIS MOVIE. NOW.
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Childrens Film Ever!! Review: I remember watching this movie when I was a kid and I just loved it! It was and is one of my all time favorites. As an adult I finally found it on VHS and I will guard it with my life until the DVD comes out. I'm not sure I've ever seen another movie that was so sweet and so dark at the same time.

Rating: Summary: last unicorn dvd Review: Just so you know, if you buy a german DVD of Last Unicorn and play it on an all region player and select the english track, you get bascially an error-free high quality video image with 5 channel sound. This is the next best thing to a new release.
Rating: Summary: The bestest movie ever! Review: oh my gosh! it is the most coolest movie ever. it is so good it should get ELEVEN stars! ELEVEN! five stars arent even close to showing how i feel about the last unicorn! i could rant on and on, but you are getting tired of me, aren't you?
Rating: Summary: A classic film based on a classic novel Review: The Last Unicorn is my absolute favorite book of all time. I first read it when I was eight years old, with help from my mother. The animated film is a beautiful representation of this classic fantasy novel. I have loved it since the first time I saw it. It's a tale of hope and wonder, love and loneliness, good and greed. The voice acting in the animated film is perfect, in my opinion, and while the movie leaves out key parts of the book (but what book-turned-to-movie doesn't?), it still keeps the general feel of the written story. I would love to have this movie on DVD. My poor VHS tape would like a break. If you haven't read the book, read it. You'll be glad you did.
Rating: Summary: Found it at last! Review: I saw this movie when I was about 5, and I loved it. I have clear images that refuse to leave my mind... but I haven't seen it for such a long time! I want to own this movie! It has fantasy and my memory is a testament to it's genius just because it has stuck with me for so long. I couldn't remember the title until yesterday and looked it up as soon as I did.
