Summary: This is a MUST HAVE DVD
Review: Oh my gosh! You would not believe how wonderful this DVD is! The projects are absolutely georgous. Every single project is not only beautiful but they are all easy to follow along and recreate yourself. Karen also throws in tips and tricks when she is doing her projects which is so valuable. Also, there is a project gallery that is interactive so that when you see a project or technique you would like to create, you can select that project and it will take you to the demonstration on the DVD. The camera captures what every fold and movement of Karen's hands as she is creating her projects so you aren't left guessing as to how she may have done a particular fold. If you love paper arts and crafts this is definitely a MUST HAVE DVD!!

Summary: Afraid of "Origami"? Don't be! Karen makes it EASY!!
Review: Omigosh--no more standing on my head to try to figure out how someone folds those cool cranes. Boxes? Simple! Tiny kimonos? Piece of cake! And earrings that are to die for! Envelopes! Paper finishes! Books!
Some of these projects were on Carol Duvall's show, but now you get to see what you never saw on that show--step by step closeups and simple ways to finish things. No diagrams needed!
What I loved about this DVD is that every little part of it is worth watching. Never before have the 'credits' been almost as interesting as the main portion of the program: Karen shows her private journal as the background to the credits lists! And the bloopers show the Karen we all know and love from Carol Duvall: elegant, modest, but warm and funny. The gallery was great, and even the ads for upcoming DVDs from PageSage gave glimpses of the other DVDs.
PageSage really has this instructional filming down pat--no unnecessary head shots and always close images of what is being done. Better than the front row in a class, since you can watch it at 2am in your pyjamas!
Get this DVD if you have even the smallest interest in folding paper but have been afraid to try it. You'll be as hooked as I now am!

Summary: Flying off shelves......for a reason
Review: This DVD has been out less than a month and already they are flying off the shelves. There is a reason. Everyone, who is in the slightest bit interested, falls in love with it. This is more than just origami, though that is where it begins, with a bang. These are techniques that have cried out for good video representation.

I took up origami when I quit smoking, it kept my hands busy. Doing a lot more than the basics was very difficult because the type written instructions, even with stripes, shaded areas and arrows on the diagrams, were inadequate to make the things I wanted. It almost frustrated me back to smoking!

This is what I needed. My very own teacher available any and every time I need her. The filming of this DVD focuses on Karen's hands not her hair-do. The lighting is great and her voice does not bounce all over the place like she is standing in an empty house. You see each movement of the paper and Karen explains what she is doing very well as she goes.

There is a terrific gallery and if you are browsing through it and want more information on a piece click on it and you are whisked away to the segment showing the technique used to make it.

If this is not enough be sure to watch the bloopers, coming and already released titles and more. Grab some materials and get started folding.
