Rating: Summary: A fun sing-along video! Review: Be forewarned....Elmo does NOT appear in this video! However, this is a really cute sing-along with most of your favorite characters (human and muppet). We especially like the "Be my echo" song with Grover. My daughter loves this video and asks for it again and again, even though Elmo isn't in it. I bought it not knowing what to expect. What I got was a cute video that my daughter enjoys, which is worth the price.
Rating: Summary: High in Sesame goodness, low in Muppet appearances Review: I like this tape a lot, even though it's dated (by Maria's big '80s hair!). Most of the singing takes place when the Sesame Street gang and a group of kids drag a piano up to the roof to have a sing-along with Bob and Big Bird. Workmen Biff and Sully just happen to be up there "fixing" a TV, where you get to see some terrific non-rooftop spots including Grover and the late great Madeline Kahn singing "Sing After Me," a sign-language enhanced "Sing," "We All Sing With The Same Voice," and "Doin the Pidgeon" Maria, Gordon, Bob, Big Bird, Hoots the Owl and the kids all sing "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt," "Old MacDonald Had A Farm,""Stand Up and Pinch Your Nose," the Alphabet song, a cute upbeat number by Big Bird called "Cheer Up" and, for a grand finale, my ultimate favorite Sesame Street song, "What's The Name Of That Song." The production values in this tape are very simple - but the focus is on the characters and their voices. Everybody gets to be who they are. I recommend this one to anybody who likes the people on Sesame Street as well as the muppets. P.S. The video cover is a little misleading: Ernie and Bert aren't part of the sing-along: they appear separately in "Doin the Pigeon" and "Rubber Ducky." A bit of trivia - this tape started its life as a Sesame Street episode.
Rating: Summary: Great video, although an older one Review: My 1.5 year old loves this Sesame Street video. At first I was disappointed because it looks a bit outdated but my son doesn't seem to mind and the songs are great. If your kid loves music I recommend this video.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: My 13 month old niece absolutely LOVES this video. She sits on my lap and does not move her eyes from the tv for one moment. This is the only video that she will sit and watch without getting up. I HIGHLY recommend it!
Rating: Summary: Fun for mom, too! Review: My 2 older kids, now ages 6 and 8, watched this tape until it wore out. With a new baby now, I will definitely buy it again. The kids LOVED these songs, even though the tape is obviously not from their generation. They didn't care. I enjoyed it because some of these songs are from when I watched Sesame Street as a kid! As far as suffering through kids' videos goes, this one won't make you want to smash the TV (as so many of the others tend to do!).
Rating: Summary: Sing Along..Please Review: When asking my 19 month old son which video he would like to watch, more often than not it is "Sing Along". It never grows old for him and I must admit I could watch Madeline Kahn and Grover's duet several times over. It is a real treat.
