Rating: Summary: Kipper to the rescue Review: Once again, Kipper has proved the perfect carton to play just before bedtime. And, again, the values of caring and sharing are displayed in such a subtle way that it was easy to mention these themes after the tape while my son was brushing his teeth for bed. Thank the group in England and Hungary(?) for doing these films!!
Rating: Summary: My first Kipper purchase Review: This was my first Kipper video that I bought for my daughter who was age 2 1/2 at the time. I was expecting a simple-minded cartoon that would have nothing more than colorful movement on the TV. Instead I was delightfully surprised at the storylines, the playful interaction of the characters and lightheartedness that make Kipper such a great series. We have had this video for well over a year and my daughter still asks to watch it. It is a wonderfully relaxing show, rather than filled with needless violence or conflict. I highly recommend the Kipper series to anyone with toddlers. It is such a great change from the typical video fare.
Rating: Summary: Very nice, calm video Review: With the recent recommendation of the American Pediatric Association of not letting children under the age of two watch ANY Tv and those over two only an hour daily, this video is very calm, relaxing with no high stress interaction within the characters. Fast-fed videos actually are bad for children according to the APA but Kipper is very slow paced, easy to watch like Blues Clues (recommended by the APA). We particularly like the British wit and accents throughout the video series and it's very amusing to see the interactions between Kipper and Tiger. Now, combine this with the Wiggles and we might all wind up with British/Australian accents! This is such a very sweet video, not excitable for children, slow paced and very entertaining.
