Rating: Summary: Pied Pipper of DVDs! Review: This DVD has the same magical effect on my 11-month-old boy as the Pied Pipper had with his flute. Little Danny can become so entranced by the singing babies that he forgets that I'm even sitting with him. I must honestly say that I have not seen this level of undivided attention from my boy with anything!!! This same company has a second title "Singing Babies Nursery Rhyme Time," which I have just ordered. I applaud this product and look forward to utilizing the advanced read along feature and karaoke feature as Danny gets older. I like the idea of a product that a child can grow with. Definitely, get this product.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Wonderful! Review: This DVD is good in my opinion, but my daughter thinks it is wonderful! She watches it religiously and seems transfixed by the babies singing to her. She even sings back. I utilize the "Sing Along" feature where the words appear on the screen. This way she can start to recognize letters and words. I rank this at the top of my children DVD purchases based on my daughter's enthusiastic response.
Rating: Summary: Where Was This When I Was A Kid?! Review: This DVD is so terrific that I wish I had grown up on it like my two boys are now. I have a nine-month-old and a four-year-old. They actually sit and watch "Singing Babies" together. Usually anything for my nine-month-old will not hold my four-year-old's attention and vice versa. BUT, this DVD does. This allows me the much needed time to pay bills, clean up, and make dinner. It's a great baby-sitter and teaches them at the same time. The quality music doesn't drive me insane on multiple viewings like some of the other videos that we have purchased. I highly recommend getting "Singing Babies."
Rating: Summary: Truly Great! Review: Toe-tapping, hand clapping fun. All the songs I grew up with. My two-year-old can't get enough. My husband and I love singing along too! Comes with CD soundtrack, which is terrific. Totally worth adding to your child's DVD library.
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Thing!!! Review: We are big fans of the BABY BOB SHOW on CBS. We noticed that our one year old girl enjoyed watching Bob speak. Based on this, I told a co-worker who turned me on to this DVD, where the babies appear to sing using a similar technique to the BABY BOB SHOW. Now, our baby sits and watches the babies sing and attempts to perform with them. It's sooooo cute! Honestly, this DVD is the greatest. BABY BOB fans must get this!
Rating: Summary: The Best I've Seen! Review: We have a comprehensive library of dvds. My five-month-old girl is extremely active and putting in a dvd is a welcome break for me and my husband, even if it is just to finish doing dishes. This "Toddler Tunes" dvd has an auto repeat feature which we love since the show will automatically restart. The amazing thing is that our daughter can sit and watch it three times all the way through. She makes sounds (trying to sing along), smiles, and bobs up and down with excitement. Since this dvd elicits the biggest reactions from her, I rate this the best I've seen.
Rating: Summary: You got me and my baby too! Review: When I put this DVD in, I was prepared to walk off and do some chores, but I got so caught up in the wonderful production numbers with babies singing (quite convincingly) that I sat with my one year old the whole time. It's like a bunch of Baby Bobs with sweet kids' voices singing and crawling around. Very good. I will be looking forward to using the Karaoke feature and the Read Along feature, as my child gets older.
Rating: Summary: Developmental Benefits! Review: When my child can make sounds that approximate singing while watching this DVD and shows no signs of even remotely attempting this with other musical stimuli, I must conclude that there is something unique and special about SINGING BABIES TODDLER TUNES. The developmental benefits to this DVD should be formally studied, since my one-year-old seems more developmentally advanced for having watched it. I plan to play this DVD regularly for my child, since I see the results daily.
Rating: Summary: One of the creepiest and most bizarre things I've ever seen. Review: Where does one begin with a DVD of this 'quality'? My 15 month old lasted nearly 2 minutes before she got off my lap and changed the channel, preferring to watch a blank, black screen rather than the poorly overlaid mouths onto what seem to be drugged up children. The babies never blink, the superimposed mouths sometimes extend beyond the babies' chin, and the singing is enough to drive most dogs mad.The most appalling segment is the "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" segment where a person in a bear costume is standing in front of military equipment. The baby, dressed in camo, is animated to follow the "bear's" singing with "knees and toes!" with a ferver reserved for 1930's fascist propaganda films. All in all, save your money on this one and buy a Baby Einstein DVD.
