Rating: Summary: Based on the TV Airings, an amazing DVD! Review: "Day of the Dino - Volume I" is named after the series premiere of the same name. This DVD includes the episodes "Day of the Dino Part I," and "Day of the Dino Part II," as well as the episodes "Wave Goodbye," "Legacy of Power," and "Back in Black," as well as two BONUS "Power Rangers Ninja Storm" Episodes. ("A Storm before the Calm Part I" and "A Storm before the Calm Part II"). In "Day of the Dino Part I" a High School science teacher, Dr. Tommy Oliver begins life anew after his work with a paleontologist Dr. Anton Mercer goes horribly wry. When a robotic T-Rex attacks Dr. Oliver and three misfit students fall into a sink-hole nearby on a trip to a museum, Dr. Oliver must recruit them to become Power Rangers. This is easily one of my favorite series premiers. In "Day of the Dino Part II" the three Teens, Connor, Ethan, and Kira receive their Ranger powers to battle the evil Mesogog who revives his BioZords, mechanical Dinosaurs that wreck havoc on the city of Reefside, it's up to the Power Rangers to tame the BioZords and turn them good again. There's a lot of action in this episode, again one of my favorites. "Wave Goodbye" is about Connor and his passion for Soccer vs. being a Power Ranger, when faced with a major decision, Connor questions being a Ranger. This was a rather dull episode in my opinion. "Legacy of Power" is the show's 500th episode. Here, Dr. Tommy Oliver is abducted by Mesogog and three very worried Power Rangers return to their base, under Dr. Oliver's home where they discover a video diary of his past adventures as a Power Ranger; they also learn of every Power Ranger team before them. All this was is a glorified clip show, but a very good one at that. "Back in Black" picks up directly where "Legacy of Power" left off. The Rangers go to save Tommy, whom they now know was a Power Ranger! As they rescue him, Tommy grabs the Black Dino gem and later, becomes the Black Dino Thunder Power Ranger. All in all an AMAZING Episode which featured the return of a very popular Power Ranger from the past. In addition this DVD features last season's finale, "A Storm before the Calm" as Bonus episodes. If you weren't a fan of Ninja Storm, these probably won't mean too much to you but if you're a Power Rangers fan these are DEFIITLEY worth viewing. I would whole-heartedly recommend this DVD to ANY Power Rangers or Sci-Fi fan. Power Rangers Dino Thunder stars James Napier as Conner, Kevin Duhaney as Ethan, Emma Lahana as Kira, Jason David Frank as Dr. Tommy Oliver, Katrina Devine as Cassidy, Tom Hern as Devin, Miriama Smith as Elsa, and Lathaim Gaines as Mesogog.
Rating: Summary: BRING BACK ZORDON/ AND OR ALPHA 5 Review: BRING BACK ALPHA 5 AND/OR ZORDON. THIS SERIES IS DEAD WITHOUT THE LIKES OF CHARACTERS LIKE THESE AND NINJOR AND THE ALIEN RANGERS. I WANT TO SEE ZORDON AGAIN AND/OR ALPHA 5 AGAIN. WITHOUT THEM AND MYSTERIOUS CHARACTERS LIKE THEM THE SHOW IS FALLING
Rating: Summary: Dinothunder defends the honour of Power Rangers Review: First of all...I think it's safe to assume the three reviews below me are total rubbish, clearly from two biased MMPR fans, and one person ignorant enough to think anything resembling new episodes of Dinothunder would appear exculsivly on DVD first.
Aside from that, Power Rangers enters it's twleth (and so far, greatest) season with "Day of the Dino", a two-part epic accompanied by the two-part finale of the previous season Ninja Storm.
Establishing the main plot arcs almost immediatly with a thrilling battle between veteran Ranger Tommy Oliver and the forces of Mesegog on a rapidly sinking Island, to the introduction of Connor, Kira, and Ethan, three distinctly different people who are united form a Ranger team by fate to tame the Bio-Zords unleashed on the city by Mesegog.
The action is non-stop, the comedy is brilliantly executed ("Don't call me dude""-Tommy) references to the original seasons (Cassidy talks about Angel Grove at one point) and the episode provides the audience with more mysteries and chilling new adversaries (Mesegog is the finest P.R villain since Ransik from Time Force and Prince Gasket from Zeo)
So don't take dissapointment and MMPR preference overtake your own choices, purchase this DVD and realise that Power Rangers will continue because of seasons such as this
Rating: Summary: Stop! Review: I found this version of Power Rangers refreshingly updated. I enjoy watching it with my boys- 3 and 7. As mentioned by the previous review, this version does a good job blending things. It's not so painfully disjointed as previous versions and the new SPD version comming in February. Since power rangers seem to advance on a regular basis from one color to another does it really matter if Tommy was a white ranger at one point? He's a black ranger now. It all gets very confusing since there seem to be many, many types, colors and combinations of rangers.
Rating: Summary: DINO RANGERS REEK, POWER RANGERS HAS NEVER BEEN SO HORRIBLE! Review: I give this three stars because Saban is using Dinozords again, but no more because the show is cheesy, meant for kindergardeners, and a wound nearly as big as that of Power Rangers Turbo in the Power Rangers Timeline (...)need to breath, now, again, (...)
Rating: Summary: based on Japanese version Review: I live in Japan and my son and I've enjoyed the Japanese version of this (Abaranger) more than any of the others. I can't say how the US analogue will turn out, but the CG and Jap production sequences are the best yet, and that's what kids are watching it for anyway, the fighting and the cool monsters.
Rating: Summary: Glad to see Tommy back Review: I was glad to see Tommy Oliver back. I watched the original Power Rangers when I used to babysit a friends daughter. Now I watch it with my daughter. Dino Thunder was a really good season and Tommy back is the best.
Rating: Summary: The Best series since MMPR Review: I'm not sure why the reviewers below feel the need to compare this show to Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (The first and best series) unfavorably. The return of Tommy, combined with engaging characters and awesome action (taken much more seamlessly from the original japanese show than in other ranger shows) make for a great show for new and old Power Ranger fans alike. CHeck it out.

Rating: Summary: DinoThunder- the long awaited return of Tommy! Review: Power Rangers Season 12: Power Rangers DinoThunder is the best season in years. This is the 2nd season of Power Rangers filmed in New Zealand. The Plot is very good, but what really makes it good is the return of Jason David Frank aka Tommy from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo, and an apperance in Power Rangers Wild Force. In the Past Tommy was Green Ranger, White Ranger, Zeo Red, and Turbo Red. This season he returns as Dino Black. Since Tommy left, he went to college and over time bacame a doctor. Now, as a high school teacher, he recruits 3 of his students to become Power Rangers to fight the evil forces of Mesogog. This DVD will include the first 3 episodes of DinoThunder and the last 2 episodes of Power Rangers Ninja Storm.
