Rating: Summary: THIS VIDEO HAS IT ALL FOR THE LITTLE ONES! Review: I purchased this video when it first came out, in 1995 for my nephew, Bryan. This week-end, November 2003, I brought it out for my 21/2 year old grandson, Ben, He was singing the song after one viewing, and mesmorized by the entire video, just as Bryan was! I am purchasing 3 more copies for friends Grandchildren for Christmas!

Rating: Summary: And a spell-like trance fell upon the two year old... Review: My kid loves big trucks, backhoes, cement mixers, etc. One of his first words was backhoe ("Ba-choe"). This video meets his exacting criteria. ;-)It's definately a bit different than I was expecting. A lot of sing-alongs about dirt. A lot of rolling around in dirt. A lot of interludes with kids skipping around heavy machinery. Worth the money, but I'd recommend "Road Construction Ahead" over this one.

Rating: Summary: Grandson can't get enough Review: My two year old grandson watches this over and over...absolutely enthralled. I love watching this heavy equipment DVD with him as he waves," Bye-bye tractor". I'm just sorry I wasn't the one that found this for him. I highly recommmend this. WARNING: DVD is addicting!
Rating: Summary: I dig dirt Review: Our two year old grandson watches this two or more times a day. He never seems to tire of it. (As an adult I found it interesting the first time through.) The music is cute. The pictures are varied. New details can be identified even after many viewings. Strongly recommend it for 18-48 month olds.

Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Review: This video on "diggers" (small and very large construction excavators... including the largest excavator in the U.S.... called Ursa Major... "The Big Dipper") is pretty good for toddlers. It features a nice little song, "I dig dirt" sung to the tune of "Frere Jacques" which is very cute, especially if your toddler starts singing it. I really like that there are both boys and girls (and men and women equipment drivers) in the video, while most other construction videos tend to only show men and boys. My 2-year-old (boy) likes it a lot. However, he more often asks for "Road Construction Ahead" which is a video about how roads are built and has a wider variety of construction equipment (diggers, rollers, graders, etc.). And he even more asks for "Farm Country Ahead" which he calls "the tractor movie" and is in a series with the "Road Construction Ahead" video.

Rating: Summary: Back for more Review: We "lost" this video over a month ago and our 2 1/2 YO boy still isn't over it. So, I am purchasing our second copy. We sing the theme song together many times a day and it is a ritual at bedtime. I have a hunch that our 3 1/2 YO girl has hidden it due to the number of times she was subjected to its run. The video is full of tractors in action and explainations about what these heavy machines do. There is no story line or furry animation in this show. In short, we highly encourage you to purchase this video.
