Rating: Summary: They're baaaaaaaack! Review: We love the Muppets! This movie was soooooooo funny. (Yeah, and I'm 23!) I especially liked the part with the invisibility spray. Pepe is very funny, ok? The music rules! The DVD has commentary from the creators and muppets, which is a cool bonus. I recommend this movie!
Rating: Summary: Thanks for the Memories Review: What can I say . . . it made me go and buy every Muppet movie on DVD. It brought back all the original muppet creativity and humor without relying on a bunch of computer generated special effects like . . . should I dare say, "The Phantom Menace" - uhhh.
Rating: Summary: im still a kid at heart Review: what can i say about the muppets?? i grew up with these wonderful creatures, from the movies to the muppet babies then to the show that bombed on network tv...and i never saw muppet treasure island cause i thought it was just the stupid muppets...well im a firefighter with no kids and i loved this movie....it was funny in all aspects from the adult comedic stand point, the hippies that gave bunsin and beeker a ride, to the crazy antics of pepe...where did they get this guy and why hasnt he been around longer, "i am going to slap you....slap you like a bad, bad donkey...ok" that is just the best...well it may not be the best muppet movie but it did touch the heart of this long forgotten fan..
Rating: Summary: Outer Space recaptures that lost Muppet zaniness. Review: When I was growing up I watched the Muppet Show every week, and I loved The Muppet Movie and The Great Muppet Caper. After that, the Muppets seemed to take themselves too seriously. While I enjoyed the Muppet Christmas Carol, I longed for the stories of Muppets against the world, where they did not ally themselves with humans for the sake of making a tacky musical. Muppets From Space gets back to the elements that made the first two movies great: wild humor that would only work with felt, and adventures that focus on the Muppets themselves, rather than their human friends. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoyed The Great Muppet Caper and the Muppet Movie. I haven't had so much fun since then.
Rating: Summary: The funniest movie I saw all year. Review: Where do I begin, the whole thing was great. The opening scene with `Brick House` in the background and all the stupidity throughout. I loved it. I have to take that back, it starts with Animal's comments before the opening credits and ends with `Pepe the prawn's` ending duet with none other than George Clinton himself. I laughed all the way through. I must admit that it did taper off a bit from its strong beginning, but it was still a great one. I think a lot of people need to realize that this was definitely aimed more for adults than kids (my buddies and me were the only adults in the theater that did not have kids) but I'm sure the kids will enjoy it too and don't worry its clean humor. I was dissappointed that there was not as many muppets, except for the opening scene (ie - no Rolph the dog, Cammila the chicken, and very little Fozzie) but Pepe and the Bear make up for it. The Cameos were wonderful as well. No there wasn't very many muppet musical performances, but the all funk soundtrack made up for that. All in all it was definitely worthy of the Muppet name that it bears. I'm glad Dave Goelz can carry on the Jim Henson torch.
Rating: Summary: There are better muppet movies Review: While i appreciate the attempt to make more movies staring the loveable muppets, i must say i was disappointed by this movie. It seemed to lack that magic that Jim Henson was able to instill in the first three movies and that was present in The Christmas Carol as well (i am not a big fan of Muppet Treasure Island either). A great movie for the kids i guess, but i think you diehard Muppets fans will be disappointed.
