Rating: Summary: The three best Wiggles tapes! Review: These are definitely the best three Wiggles videos in the entire Wiggles collection. I would highly recommend them. My two-year-old son loves the Wiggles. No other videos are able to capture his attention the way these three do.
Rating: Summary: Dance with your tot! Review: This is a wonderful group of very danceable Wiggles videos. These are the older ones, so they focus on simple songs and fun dancing. Try to keep up with them some time. This is harder than some of my aerobics videos! If you want a Wiggles sampler, this is a good pack. Several of the songs repeat on each video. If you just want one video, go for "Toot Toot".
Rating: Summary: BUY NOW, Don't hesitate! Review: I bought one of The Wiggles tapes as a trial to see if my son would like it. I knew nothing about them except they that they sang lots of songs. My 8 month old LOVED it. I can't emphasize it enough! Now he smiles as soon as the first Wiggle comes on and introduces himself on the screen (they introduce themselves on each tape). Since then, I haven't found any tapes that will keep my son's attention as well as the Wiggles can. They sing songs and dance about every 2 minutes and there are brightly colored props and characters at all times. It's so captivating for children. We have since increased our collection to 4 cassettes and my son even watches their TV show on Disney in the mornings. It works like magic when he is really fussy... I pop in a cassette and he gets quiet and starts to smile at the faces wearing the bright shirts. EXCELLENT BUY!
Rating: Summary: Here Comes Mr. Rogers, And He's On ...! Review: This is a wonderful show, but for reasons completely unintentional ( I'd hope! ) on the part of everyone involved. This show is gut wrenchingly hilarious. The sets are colourful, bizarre, or amusingly trippy, and the songs are fabulous. Everytime I find a Wiggles episode playing on the T.V. I end up sprawled on the floor convulsed in fits of giggles. The characters are nightmarish, garish, and very, very funny. A typical song would have a very tall and very skinny police officer ( gender ambiguous ) hobble around drunkeningly, an octopus with two rubber limbs, something called Dorothy that squeals like Minnie Mouse in Helium Land and looks like the product of nuclear waste, and a pirate, a red car, and a bunch of children that look like they're being paid a thousand dollars a minute to act as happy as they can. In the middle of all this cheerful insanity are the Wiggles themselves. A lot of their antics are just plain bizarre, as I've mentioned earlier, but a few of their skits are actually truly funny, in a late 60's British surreal humour kind of way. It's bad, yes... it's REALLY bad, but it's so extraordinarily campy that people decades from now will look back and think to themselves, "My God... Australia in the 90's must've been a really whacked out place to be!"
Rating: Summary: wiggles-grandmothers view Review: My grandchildren. ages 3 and 1 absolutely love the wiggles. Even the parents join in. I have two now waiting for birthdays. Keep them comin'.
Rating: Summary: Wiggles not as good as other popular kids videos Review: There are some good points to the Wiggles. There are some really neat songs in here and I think that the singing and dancing are entertaining. I especially like the children they put in the video. The bad points start with some bad camera effects. I particularly dislike the underwater effect and don't think it is appropriate for toddlers who are learning about and trying to make sense of their world. The worst aspect of the Wiggles is that their animal characters are very bizarre. The Octopus is a person wearing an octopus costume. Four of the legs are the human's two legs and two arms and the other four legs are stuffed and flail about randomly from the human's neck. Dorothy the dinosaur has no bottom jaw and her single row of teeth is on the outside of her upper jaw. Plus, the animal character voices and mannerisms are very annoying. I bought this video because of all the good reviews on this site but was very disappointed. I don't think it even compares to some of the other kids' videos out there. Sesame Street & Elmo, Barney, Blue's Clues and VeggieTales are much better and are more likely to teach as well as entertain.
Rating: Summary: I would give this 10 stars if I could Review: The Wiggles are outstanding and this video is one of the best so far. My 22 month old is addicted, and my 5 month old actually stops crying if I put the tape on for him. I love the fact that this video is more like the t.v. show, which Disney has mercifully started running. The wiggles are fun no matter how old you are. Trust me if they weren't as entertaining for adults as they are for kids I would have jumped out a window by now. On the weekends I see the wiggles at least 4 or 5 times in a row. The songs are great. My daughter knows exactly where her "head, shoulders, knees and toes" are and she loves to "Toot, Toot, Chugga, Chugga". She loves to dance along and is even starting to sing along. Thank you Wiggles.
Rating: Summary: Fab funky Aussies are the best Review: I bought these videos for my 16 month old son who has seen The Wiggles on Playhouse Disney and always loves dancing to their catchy songs. The videos do not disappoint. The bright colours, fab music, catchy songs and evident desire for The Wiggles to entertain and educate their audience is apparent. I even find myself singing to their songs every now and then! What I also love about them is the way they are educating children in good manners (something sadly lacking in alot of childrens television now) and focus on healthy snacks and food such as fruit and vegetables rather than junk food. My son loved these videos so much I played all 3 in a row and he just kept dancing. I didn't even find myself getting fed up with them, something that I cannot say about other childrens programmes.
Rating: Summary: The Wiggles 3 Pack Review: My children love watching the Wiggles videos. When I read 'if you're tired of Barney try the Wiggles' I ordered. I have been so happy. My son is 10-years old and mentally handicapped. He loves music and watching the Wiggles videos is one of his favorite things to do. He is non-verbal but 'sings' along with the videos. They are kid friendly, don't move too quickly and keep his interest with the movement on the screen. My 13-year old daughter often offers to 'help Christopher watch a Wiggles video' so that she too can sit and watch and enjoy.
Rating: Summary: All Wiggles Videos Review: The Wiggles are wonderful entertainment for children of all ages. My son started watching The Wiggles before he was a year old. He will be 2 next month and still loves to watch all of their videos. He started doing the hand motions and singing with them. Now he dances right along with them and know the guys and all the characters by name and who sings what song. It has been the best investment in videos I have ever made. My 12 year old watches and sings with him.
