Rating: Summary: Great DVD from a popular workshop instructor Review: I have had the opportunity to review this DVD from MaryJo McGraw for the magazine Somerset Studio. Many of our readers are familiar with MaryJo because she has written so many magazine articles and books and taught so many great workshops at rubber stamp stores across the country. Her books are best-sellers in this sector of the craft industry, and for good reason: She has great projects! And now you can access them through a DVD that has been very professional produced by Suzanne Lamar. I am very impressed with this DVD. It's not like the typical craft video-to-DVD format; no--it's interactive! I think that's a first. You can actually navigate the DVD, use the menu, repeat sections, or visit the gallery of artwork and then click on individual art pieces for more information. This DVD is full of great projects too, and you can see them unfold in close-up detail as MaryJo demonstrates, step-by-step, how to make each card, art book, or other project. She offers her most popular stamping and mixed media techniques on this DVD, has a great sense of humor, and is thoroughly entertaining. And here's a tip: Don't miss the bloopers! Rating: Summary: Best stamping instruction product ever! Review: I've purchased dozens of stamping videos, and even a DVD (which was only a video recorded onto a DVD), but this is the best I've ever gotten. No talking heads and no distance shots of the project. You get to see MaryJo's face a couple of times, but the rest of the time you are looking right over her shoulder and seeing EXACTLY what she's doing. It's a true DVD, too--you can stop and skip around and link between gallery pieces and the instructions at any time. AND there's a really funny segment of outtakes, so you can see that MaryJo has moments where her stamping gets away from her, just like the rest of us! The projects are great--a lot of variety from complex items to simple fast cards, and I learned a lot about some products I've had around but never used before. You have to get this one!

Rating: Summary: MaryJo does it again! Review: I've read MaryJo's books on rubber stamping techniques, but that didn't prepare me for this fabulous DVD on her favorite techniques! This is one well put together DVD, everything is so professional (great sound, great video.) And the techniques? Well, there's nothing like seeing something done, right in front of your eyes! MaryJo makes even the most difficult things so easy to replicate! Once you watch her do it, it's simple! OH, and the sample gallery is just FILLED with wonderful ideas for future projects! After watching this DVD, I'd have to say that DVD's are DEFINITELY the way to go....you can use the opening 'index' to jump to exactly the technique you want to review, no waiting for the VCR tape to reach the right point. Just click and you're THERE! This is definitely a 'must have' DVD for any stamper, beginner to advanced!

Rating: Summary: Just like having a class with MaryJo Review: This DVD is the best......if you've never been able to have a class with MaryJo, then let this be your classroom! It's great! Gallery is great to browse through and pick a project to do. If you missed a part of what she was demonstrating or saying the best part is you can just back up (rewind) on the DVD and replay it!!! Wonderful addition to anyone's collection.

Rating: Summary: Hoping for more stamping DVDs like this... Review: This was great, especially if you need to have your stamping classes at home. Mary Jo's presentations have a lot of clarity and a very relaxed approach to creativity. Since I rarely get to see people actually doing techniques, I really enjoyed watching the processes happening in such detail since it was longer than the videos I've seen. The DVD format gives a lot of flexibility in viewing and Mary Jo has a friendly presence as she provides numerous tips along with the project at hand. I hope Page Sage will produce more in this line of product.
