Rating: Summary: My son's daily obsession Review: If there is any doubt that children are able to sustain long periods of concentration, then show them this video. My 20-month-old watches this one daily, eyes glued to the set. I don't know if this daily TV ritual is harmful to his development, but it does give my wife and I a daily breather. It also happens to be a very nice video with insanely catchy songs.
Rating: Summary: Don't waste your money Review: I bought this video thinking it would be a great compilation of sesame street "hits." Well, I wound up taking the thing back because quite frankly, I didn't think it was appropriate for my two-year-old to see scantily dressed girls dancing and singing in the first five minutes of the video! Plus, the monster thing is totally overdone and quite scary. I'm not sure what they are trying to do with sesame street, but with all their "issues' they like to address now and how they enjoy promoting their own agenda, someone needs to remind them that the show is for kids, not their own political views.
Rating: Summary: A Household Favorite Review: My 15 month old son absolutely adores this video. He loves the characters and the the music. My husband and I love it too because it reminds us of our childhood - same oldie but goodie songs! Try it, you'll like it!
Rating: Summary: MY SON LOVES IT!!!! Review: MY SON ABSOLUTELY LOVES THIS DVD- HE HAS BEEN WATCHING IT SINCE HE WAS SIX MONTHS OLD, AND NOW HE IS ALMOST TWO!!!! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS DVD, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A SESAME STREET FAN YOURSELF!!!
Rating: Summary: Can't get enough of this one Review: Every Friday is movie night at our house, and every Friday this is what my son picks to watch. He'd watch it every day if we let him. He's 19-months-old and has been watching this tape since he was about a year old. It's certainly his favorite!!
Rating: Summary: More Sesame Street people Review: Everyone at our house loves this DVD, and we all have our favorite songs. My only disapointment is that I would have liked to see more of the "people" from Sesame Street. Bob and Maria both appear (and sing) in the Grand Finale, but I wish they had some dialogue with the characters at some point or did a small ensemble song. Oh well. Maybe for the 35th birthday!
Rating: Summary: Entertaining for even my 2.5 month old Review: I bought this video just wanting to buy a video for my daughter who is 2.5 months old. I didn't know whether or not she would even look at the screen. I popped it into my DVD and my daughter could not stop watching. Her eyes light up everytime Big Bird comes on. She laughs and she coos throughout the video. I'm not what captivates her but if it doesn't have music in it she wants no part of it. Regardless my daughter fell in love with this video and it makes her laugh, coo and smile.
Rating: Summary: CUTE!! Review: My son is 18 months and also loves this show. I love it too because I remember some of the songs from when I was a kid. Its very catchy!
Rating: Summary: sesame and wiggles = great plane ride Review: This DVD and The Wiggles Yummy Yummy saved my husband and I when we took our VERY active 15-month-old on an airplane ride from east coast to west. This is pretty much all songs (some are from old Sesame Street, but still entertaining to our little one) and enough on-screen action to keep him interested even though strapped in his car seat.
Rating: Summary: great video Review: I bought this DVD for my son when he was about 9 months old. He is now 18 months and still loves to watch it. It has great songs and all of the sesame street characters. He could watch it over and over again.
