Rating: Summary: my baby loved this! Review: My baby received this as a gift when she was just 2 months old. She has loved it ever since! She also enjoys many of the Einstein videos, but I think she gets more out of the Brainy Baby tapes because in addition to pretty images, there is also narration that teaches shapes, colors, and other objects. Give this tape a try!!
Rating: Summary: Better than Baby Einstein Review: My daughter has preferred Baby Right Brainy over Baby Einstein from the beginning. She has watched it since she was about 2 months old, and is now almost 7 months. I have about a 50 percent chance that she will not want to watch any video from the Einstein series the full length through. But the Right Brainy is a longer video, and she always watches the whole thing! It's the one time of the day I actually get stuff done! She is now liking the Left Brainy video too, but didn't start liking it until around 6 months, which is the beginning age they suggest it for. In the end, I think different babies have different preferences (just like the rest of us!). I would borrow videos from friends if possible, and see your baby's reaction.
Rating: Summary: Stick with Baby Mozart Review: My daughter is so checked out on this one. Too many artifical computer generated graphics. The music selections poor and not of good quality. They have a voice that narrates which sounds artificial and inappropriate in its intonation. Studies have been done that neurologically this type of a production is not good for babies. The Baby Mozart, Beethovan and Bach are much better for infants. They have basic, real life images with high quality music. Love the music box orchestra in the Baby Einstein series. Don't waste your money on Brainy Baby.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Learning Tool Review: My daughter loves this tape! From the very first time we viewed it, she was enthralled! The colors are very vivid, the images are imaginative and educational.
Rating: Summary: Brainy Baby Right Brain Review: My son has grown up on Baby Einstein and was captivated by them but now that he is 22 months old and talking he prefers the the Brainy Baby Right Brain over any of his Baby Einstein. He will sit and watch most of this video which is a feat for him because he is very active. I have just ordered 2 more of the Brainy Baby videos from Amazon and hope they are as enjoyable as Right Brain.
Rating: Summary: 5 Stars Better than baby einstein stuff!! Review: My son is now 15 mo old and has been watching this since he was 6 mo. He absolutely loves it, it keeps him entertained, and he even cries when it's over. A definite must have. The other half of this series Brainy-Baby left brain is just as good.

Rating: Summary: Brainy Baby - Right Brain Review: Our family has both the Brainy Baby series and the baby einstein videos. Brainy Baby simply beats Baby Einstein hands down! Most reviews (and everyone that we talk to) give Brainy Baby a 5 star rating. There may be a few moms that disagree, but I seriously question their judgement! The Brainy Baby series is most certainly worth the investment. As a mom, here is what I would tell you: If you put a Baby Einstein video in the VCR, what does your child learn?... that's right... NOTHING! Just pretty pictures. If your child watches Brainy Baby, they actually LEARN their ABC's, 123's, Colors, etc. as well as being entertained with BEAUTIFUL images! (Not to mention that Brainy Baby is 50% longer than Einstein for the same price). Brainy Baby has not only taught our 17 month old daughter the ENTIRE alphabet, but it has been a lifesaver for my sanity too! I can't imagine any home without Brainy Baby.
Rating: Summary: Better than Baby Einstein Review: Since she was 3 weeks old, my now 17-month old daughter has been watching the Baby Einstein series (we have Baby Mozart, Einstein, Doolittle, and Santa). These "video board books" have been the only ones that she will sit still and watch for more than a few minutes. Then, upon a recommendation contained in a negative review of the new Baby Newton (which I decided not to buy), I purchased Brainy Baby-Right Brain. What a difference! This is a fantastic video and from the first moment, my daughter was glued to the TV. The concept of Brainy Baby is similar to Baby Einstein, and there are the familiar elements of puppets, toys, classical music, etc. However, unlike Baby Einstein, there are a lot of children with varying ethnicities, and not just the same images of Julie Clark's blond kids and their friends. There is a little narration every now and then to help teach vocabulary like "bear," clouds," red," "blue", etc. Finally, at about 45 minutes long, you get 20 more minutes of video for about the same price of Baby Einstein. Although I am still a Baby Einstein fan (esp. Baby Santa), I gotta admit that the Brainy Baby series is terrific. If I had started out on Brainy Baby to begin with, I may not have bothered with Baby Einstein. I am looking forward to purchasing the rest of this series.
Rating: Summary: 5 Stars Better than baby einstein stuff!! Review: The parent reviewers who think this series is "just copying Baby einstein" have got it all wrong - I've had this Left Brain/Right Brain set (on VHS) since BEFORE the BE videos came out, and they have always been my children's favorites. What we like about them is that they are intelligent and are always teaching something, as opposed to the einstein which is just mindless (if colorful) entertainment. My pre-schooler has grown from these infant-videos on up the series to the Shapes & Colors, Art & Music, Animals, and other Brainy Baby videos for older kids, and now my 1-year old is growing into a Brainy Baby, herself! How many 18-month olds can tell you what an orangutan is, or the difference between a circle and an oval, or that the color of our van is "silver?" My son could - from watching these videos! We love 'em - you will too!
