Summary: MISSING SONGS!
Review: I bought this DVD for my son because we had one Maisy episode on VHS that he absolutely adored: Maisy's Colors & Shapes. I wanted to "upgrade" to the DVD format but also to have new espisodes for him to watch. He loves all the new episodes--and I'll admit, I do to! But the DVD has some big editing problems. Those of you who are regular Maisy watchers know that most episodes include several short stories with songs in between. When they recorded the Colors & Shapes episode onto the DVD, they left out all the songs that went with that episode! These include "Up up up the hill," "Can you hop like a frog can?" and "The Wheels on the Bus." (Maybe one more, too, I don't remember!) My son and I both love the songs and miss them. Sadly, we gave away the VHS tape before we even watched "Colors & Shapes" on the DVD. Universal really messed that one up! That, with the annoyingly compulsive trailers, makes me not think too highly of them. I'm not sure I'll buy another Maisy DVD in case they have the same problem with the missing songs.

Summary: Good Morning Maisy on DVD
Review: I recently bought this DVD, but I will NOT be buying the other two Maisy DVD's. Yes, my child likes the program, but it's too time consuming to sit through all of the trailers at the beginning of the program. Universal does not allow their consumers to press Menu or Chapter Skip. The only way to get past the trailers is to press the fast forward button - like we used to do with videos.
I also think it is rather irritating that Universal included a Maisy trailer on a Maisy DVD! How ridiculous is that?
I don't have as much of an issue with trailers on a live action title, but it's silly to have so many trailers on an animated kid's title that you know will be played over and over again.
I'll go back to buying children's titles from other Studios and avoid titles from Universal.

Summary: Baby *loves* Maisy!
Review: My 6 month old son just loves Maisy. Anytime he hears the theme song he breaks out into a *huge* grin! He has enjoyed the show since he was about 3-4 months old, so we got him the Good Morning Maisy DVD. It's a hit!! There are several songs on it that he adores, including "I Like Trucks" and "Oats, Beans & Barley." And with over 2 hours of Maisy segments on the DVD, there is plenty to choose from.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the trailer at the beginning...you have to fast-forward through it which is a pain. Another thing I dislike is that a new voice for the storyteller is used on some of the segments (like Maisy's Farm). It's different from the voice on the television show and most of the other video segments. I don't know if this bothers my son or not but it always seems "wrong" to me when I hear it! Other than that, a great DVD!

Summary: Maisy
Review: My daughter absolutely LOVES Maisy and this DVD is a huge hit with her. She would have it playing all day if I would let her. It teaches numbers, colors, and shapes and has some cute songs spread throughout. I do agree that having to fast forward through the previews in the beginning is a bit annoying, but it is well worth it to hear my little one sing the Maisy theme and dance.

Summary: Maisy
Review: My daughter loves Maisy right now so this has been great. I was concerned about having to fast forward through the trailers based on other reviews. Umm.. it takes like 5 seconds. No biggie. Having several episodes on one DVD is great so you don't have to switch DVDs, although I am not proud that my daughter has sat and watched the entire thing all the way through several times.

Summary: Maisy's ABCs and 123s is a great teaching video!!
Review: My now 18 month old daughter loves this video! It teaches her the alphabets and numbers. They go over each letter of the alphabet with examples such as A for apple, B for balloons and so on. We have a 52in. TV and the letters are big enough that it takes up the whole screen. As far as counting numbers, they count from 1-10 which is perfect for any kid as early as 6 months or even younger.
Our daughter also loves the music such as the song Maisy had a farm instead of Old McDonald had a farm. She dances to the music.

One drawback is the fact that you can't skip the trailers in the beginning of the movie. The only way to avoid watching it is fast forwarding it to the menu like the old VHS. Hope they will fix that with the newer movies. You have to hold on to the fast forward in order to bypass all the stupid trailers.

Overall, it is a great movie.

Summary: One of my granddaughter`s favorites
Review: Well, I haven`t seen the DVD but my 2-year old granddaughter just adores Maisy & her friends. She is always asking to watch Maisy but it is on only once in the morning. Now I will be able to pop in a DVD & she can watch to her heart`s content. (I find these toons tough to watch but whatever makes her happy).
