Rating: Summary: disappointing Review: i was disappointed with this childrens dvd. It is nice that they are trying to get childrens minds moving and teach them things i just feel it can be done better. for example they say the abc and count to 20 in 7 different languages which is good but they don't show the numbers or letters while they are saying them, there is pretty much a blank screen. Also if you view the short theatre part of the dvd they are saying thing while objects are being shown ( stuff animals, toys etc) but the things they are saying dont relate to the pictures at all. One thing that was very upsetting to me was that one of the objects they display are burning candles not a picture of burning candles like on a cake just actual burning candles i think it is uncalled for and could be teaching children to be interest in fire. this was very disappointing
Rating: Summary: Excellent learning tool for infants and adults Review: Many of my friends raved about this series, but did not like the Baby Einstein video in particular. I am so glad I did not listen to them as this is now our family's favorite in the series... My husband and I are even learning from it! Definitely a must buy, especially if you love other languages and want to expose you children to this!!!
Rating: Summary: Mom's Recommendation Review: Our baby seems enchanted by this product. It was given to us by a friend who is a preschool teacher. I'm fully intending to add all the others in the series to our collection.
Rating: Summary: Get it on DVD Review: get this on DVD it has so many interactive features and it has repeat play for continuous play they can fall asleep to, and there is none of that screaming when the video stops instead you can shut it off when they are not interested. And the learning flash cards in nine languages is a must have. GET THE DVD
Rating: Summary: Finally something your children can watch Review: The short sequences of music, nursery rhymes, counting, and alphabet in various languages is very appealing and pleasing to young ears. Each sequence combines familiar toys, shapes and graphics with soothing or playful music along with a voice over of various languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Hebrew, Russian, and Japanese. Children will recognize familiar nursery rhymes such as "Mary Had a Little Lamb", and "Old McDonald" and be stimulated to listen and learn when hearing the Alphabet in German or Russian. Black and white images as well as bright colors make it very visually pleasing for young infants as well as older toddlers...
Rating: Summary: The best video on the market for babies! Review: My daughter has watched Baby Einstein since she was a few weeks old, and it has always captivated her. It's a wonderful program for infants and I highly recommend it! Whether or not the intellectual benefits are true, we'll soon discover, however, it is very entertaining for our daughter and the time we spend with her as she watches it is cherished!!
Rating: Summary: Amazing Babies With Amazing Videos Review: I just watched Baby Einstein with my 7 week old daughter and I have never seen her so peaceful! The video was just the thing I needed to get her calm and happy for such a long stretch. She was fascinated with the colours and the singing, and it made me feel a part of it to be able to sing and talk with the lady on screen, knowing 5 of the 7 languages myself. Never have I seen an infant react in such a way at such a young age. I can only hope that the other videos in this series are as good, because we were both impressed by this one. A MUST for all baby shower gifts!!
Rating: Summary: Not as good as the others Review: My five month old likes all of the Baby Einstein videos- but he likes this one least. It's just not as catchy as the rest. Actually, the ones with animals and lots of children (Baby Dolittle and Baby Van Gogh) are his favorites. He's been captivated by the Baby Einstein series since he was about 6 weeks old (and yes, he could see the TV). As a certified teacher, my biggest complaint is that the Baby Einstein video's sound and picture tracks should be coordinated in some way... for example- they show a star teether and they recite Twinkle Twinkle little star, just not at the same time. The counting tracks should go with counting video, and the poems should go with SOMETHING related to the poem, even if the poem is in Japanese.
Rating: Summary: Boring and amaturish Review: My daughter, I, and the 4 month old baby found this DVD so boring it wasn't holding anyone's attention. The voiceovers were not professional, the pictures were slow to load and most did not move at all, the instructions were difficult to master, the music was terrible, and I will buy no other Einstein products.
Rating: Summary: Great for up to Crawling stages Review: This video is awesome for kids up until they are in the crawling stage, at least my son was that way. The Mozart, Bach, Neighborhood Animals and Shakespeare, are taking him to toddlerhood. Baby Einstein was my shower, dinner, clothes time for the first few months - I knew he was safe and content. A great item to have for the first few months of life.
