Summary: A Warning For Our Times
Review: The Teletubbies are a warning for our time. I know it sounds funny; you're probably thinking, "How can a stupid kid's show be all that important?!" All I ask is that you read the data I've collected and decide for yourself.

The time-period for the show is sometime after the Armageddon; every country on earth has basically destroyed each other. During that third World War, some people were able to escape into a bomb shelter underground. Because of the radiation, no one dared to come up, until one man/woman had a proposition: let's send four toddlers outside to start a civilization. So they did, and that's how the Teletubbies originated.

Of course, because of the radiation, the Teletubbies did go through some mutations (notice the odd shapes growing from their heads and bright colors). These mutations are actually the show's metaphor on how we all need to accept each other, no matter our color, shape, or size. This is demonstrated well whenever the tubbies decide to have a "big hug."

The speaker that comes out of the ground is controlled by, of course, the people underground. What they are trying to accomplish is to keep these Telletubbies child-like, with simple words such as "Teletubby bye bye" and "All done." After all, a race of babies wouldn't know how to kill each other. The people also send that robot-vacuum cleaner up to tend after the Telletubbies. No human being is allowed up there besides the tubbies; man is just not trustworthy enough.

As for the television sets on their bellies, these are just little reminders of what earth used to be like....... short videos to comfort those who need them. It's very moving how the Telletubbies shout "again! again!" after watching the video; they truly seem to want this life of happiness.

The sun with the baby's face is perhaps the deepest aspect of the show. If we human beings would simply become babies again, like the Telletubbies, then we would truly live, just as the sun brings life to everything under it.

Some may say, "If Teletubbies is such an important piece of work, why is it geared towards kids?" Well, think about it. Kids are tomorrow's leaders. It may be too late for some of us, but children still have a chance. They are innocent and willing to accept anything.

People afraid of the show's important message tend to attack it. Remember the countless attacks against Tinky-Winky's "gayness" and how the Po doll mutters cuss words? All lies as we soon discovered. Anything that is good will receive persecution; it's just a fact of life.

Summary: Love those Teletubbies!
Review: This DVD is a must-have for children 3 and under. My son watches this DVD at least three times a day. That's 3 hours of peace and quiet for Mommy! Okay...so I've watched it a few times too, but come on, admit it...they are sooooo cute! I will definitely buy more Teletubby DVDs in the future.

Summary: Amuzing baby animals
Review: This DVD is very amuzing to small children. My sons, one 1yr old and the other almost 4yrs old still love watching the baby animals, being stuffed or not, and the sounds they make. Any way children never stay put watching the film; they watch while moving about and playing. This comment is for the person saying that their children don't stay put.

Summary: Love this DVD
Review: This DVD keeps my son quiet in car rides, in restaurants and on plane rides. He's mesmerized by these weird critters!

I love the DVD because I can skip over the parts with live human children -- he doesn't like those parts!

Plus, the fact that the Teletubbies gets Jerry Falwell all riled up is reason enough for me to buy the dvd -- regardless of whether my son sees it or not.

Summary: Teletubbies Rule!
Review: This is just as good as any other Teletubbies video. They all seem to maintain a high quality standard, and my kids love them.

Summary: Granddaughter loves it !
Review: This is just one of the movies I have purchased for my granddaughter to watch when she comes to Nana's house and believe it's her favorite. Nana always enjoys it too. If your child is an animal lover or in my case grandchild they will love this one. Very glad that I purchased it !!

Summary: Very Cute
Review: This is the least watched Teletubbie video in our house. However, it's my favorite out of all of them. I'm not sure why my kids haven't really gotten 'into' it.

Each little segment is about animals- a dog, a lamb and more. The Teletubbies sing about Mary and her little lamb, and more. I think the penguin part is fantastic.

Although the whole video is about animals, it is broken down into little segments that make it easier to reach a 'good stopping point' for children, so the option is there to only watch a short segment of it.

I use this video (and all others and TV) as a time for my kids to wind down at the end of the day or just prior to nap. A short time to just sit and turn off their brains for a few minutes. I know about the controversy surrounding the Teletubbies, but I just refuse to believe that this video teaching anything bad. It's a cute video with cute little Teletubbies who are sweet and caring and gentle with animals and each other.

Summary: A winner - especially on DVD
Review: This video is guaranteed to keep my son quiet on an airplane, in a restaurant - and it always gets him to eat what I'm feeding him.

My son doesn't like the parts with the children, and I love the DVD because I can easly skip over these parts in 1 second.

And to be honest, I love the teletubbies because they annoy Jerry Falwell.
