Rating: Summary: AWESOME SEQUEL- profound ending Review: This show is definitely one of the best shows we've found for kids. The characters are gentle and real, and help kids learn some of those important basic lessons. The only thing we don't like is the "Shadow" segments, which my whole family finds quite twisted and creepy, so we just fast forward. After watching MANY other kids shows, we came to the conclusion that most of them will help you raise a mentally DEFICIENT child, like Barney, or the Teletubbies, which offer negligible amounts of actual substance. Entertain your kids, yes, but don't retard their growth in the process. Give them something entertaining that will engage them and help them to learn from. Bear In The Big Blue House is one of the only shows we let our daughter watch. She had a vocabulary of over 50 clearly understandable words (including Bear, Ojo, and Tutter) at 14 months old, and is now assembling simple sentences at 16 months (like "the dog is barking"). She also sings songs on key as well! WOW! Thanks to the BitBBH potty training show, she is also working on POTTY TRAINING! I'm not saying Bear is THE reason, but he helped along the way. Thanks Bear!
Rating: Summary: Very Entertaining! Review: This video has some really great tunes the much younger children really enjoy! My daughter is only 10 1/2 months old so she is not going to be truely interested in the fact that there are different shapes as much as she is interested in the music and movements of the characters. My Nephew who is 2 years old totally enjoys Bear and is into learning shapes and colors and plays along with the characters when they start naming the shapes and mixing the colors! It really is a good video to have!
Rating: Summary: My daughter still loves this Review: We have had this since my daughter was 4 months old. She loved it then and still loves it now at 16 months. It is also one of the few videos that I don't mind watching over and over.
Rating: Summary: Just the best! Review: We love Bear, and so does our 2-year old. Excellent songs, great dancing (Bear is the best dancer in the world - especially that head-wiggle), and 3 long episodes on the DVD. This is kids' entertainment at its best (adults, too!) Great value.
Rating: Summary: Grows with your child Review: We've owned our copy of these three episodes of "Bear in the Big Blue House" since mid-July, when our son was only 9 months old. Today he's 14+ months old, and there hasn't been one day, since he watched Bear for the first time, that he hasn't loved it. Bear is both entertaining and educational: playing with songs, words, shapes and a host of colorful characters (personally I love Tutter!), my son cannot avoid enjoying himself and smiling every time we put this DVD on.
