Summary: Great show
Review: Unfortunately finding Sesame Street on t.v. has become imposssible in my area. Luckily there are plenty of videos/dvd's available. This one is my son's favorite video, and even after MULTIPLE viewings, I enjoy it too. He's too young to know how much is sinking in, but he smiles everytime we show him the box, and it never fails to hold his attention all the way through.

Review: My husband and I were looking for a way to teach our 2.5 year old son his ABCs. He wasn't interested in working with us, but does like movies. We read the reviews on this and decided to give it a try. It has been fantastic!!!! Not only is he saying his ABCs and is now interested in them, but he loves to sing and dance to the DVD as well. It's also great for our 11 month old daughter. She laughs, claps her hands, and thoroughly enjoys it. Great entertainment for both kids, and we don't mind it either. It's a winner.

Summary: Do the Alphabet
Review: We purchased this video about 6 months ago for my daughter who just turned 2. We do have another letters video from Baby Bumble Bee, but the Sesame Street one is her favorite. She has learned every letter from these videos and can tell us each letter by looking at it. I think this is quite remarkable for just turning 2. It is a very active, fun video and has truly helped her to enjoy the alphabet. Highly recommend!

Summary: Minding your Rs.
Review: Our son has been singing the alphabets since he was 18 months, but we wanted him to become familiar with associating the names of the letters with what they look like. I loved Sesame Street as a child, so we hoped this video would be a good introduction. For his short attention span this movie does a good job at keeping him interested. We like the short skits about some of the letters--they're pretty creative and catchy. However, we were really annoyed that baby bear couldn't say his "R"s. Especially when our son, who is 3 1/2 with excellent vocabulary and word pronunciation, started saying words without the Rs after seeing the video for the first time. After some explaining he started saying his Rs again, but he still 'slips' into baby bear talk now and again. I'm disappointed that a movie that is supposed to be focussing on the alphabet can't even teach the correct pronunciation of a letter that so many children have a difficult time pronouncing anyway. I feel it's poor planning that the main character is not able to say his Rs--repeatedly and annoyingly. Although I give it an A for having creative ways of teaching/introducing letters and being able to keep a 3-year-old's attention, I give it a D for teaching incorrect letter pronunciation and the failure to accurately present what the movie is all about.

Summary: Wonderful video
Review: We had this video when my oldest, now nine, was two. He loved it then so we are buying the DVD for the two year old we have now. The songs are WONDERFUL. I haven't seen the video in at least 5 years and I still remember a lot of the songs. My son learned almost all the words to all the songs which helped him learn the alphabet. I can't wait to get the DVD to show it to our younger son. I hope we have as much fun with it as we did the first time around.

Review: My 8 month old daughter loves this video. When Baby Bear comes on the screen, she squeals! I even remember watching some of the clips when I was younger. All the songs are great. I highly recomend this DVD.

Review: I bought this to teach my 18 month old daughter the ABC's. The storyline is way too long for a toddler. By the time the characters actually get to Z, my toddler has lost interest. The songs that are interjected throughout the storyline are great. Those are the only parts she really enjoys. The rest of the story dragged out. So we skip right to the song routines. As a parent that was raised on Sesame myself, I was quite disappointed to find out that the song 'C is for Cookie' was not included.

Review: My 2 1/2 yr old son loves this video! I kid you not, he is learning the alphabet. He may skip over a few but atleast he is trying! He hops, skips, and dances around the room and imitates all the kids on the screen. When the letter J is introduced, my husband and I sit back and are entertained by his enthusiasum. Then, when Billy Joel sings the ABC song with the neighborhood kids, my son gets in his serious mode to try and replicate it exactly. A quality video!

Summary: Learn the Alphabet the Sesame Street way!
Review: When Baby Bear gets frustrated with Goldilocks for always interrupting his alphabet reciting, he turns to Big Bird for help. Big Bird must help him learn the alphabet in 24 hours. And he does, with the help of all the Sesame Street characters (and Billy Joel) and a new alphabet song! Forget the old way of singing your abc's ... this movie will change the way you sing it for good! So catchy! My daughter loves this movie. It's one of her favorite in the Sesame Street series. It runs about 45 minutes long and keeps her attention pretty much the whole time. Recommended for anyone with little ones running around!

Summary: Absolutely Wonderful
Review: My son loves this dvd. I bought it when he was 25-26 months and have played it just about everyday since (he's 30 months now). He learned his ABC's from it and dances to it. Like the others, he loves the individual segments, e.g., G ..., F faces and the jungle part.
Before this purchase and over the last few months I purchased other DVD's but after their initial viewing, he wouldn't want to see them again. For example, I have baby einstein dvds, and several Elmo dvd's. I also have Ernie's Count-with-me (he'd watch this one occasionally).
In my opinion, this ABC video is the best children's video out there. Before he could say his ABCs, I'd just point out the colors and we'd say them together. We'd also dance together. (Thus, there are different levels of learning involved and physical activity). Now, when I play it, sometimes he sits and watches the whole thing, singing and dancing along with it, other times he like to hear it playing in the background, so he can tune in to his favorite parts.
This video is worth every penny. Just be prepared for continuous play, but it won't drive you crazy because the tunes are very catchy and fun.ps. After several months of continued requests for "baby bear" aka "SS Do the alphabet", I finally found a runner up, "kids" aka "Daddy Day Care"
