Rating: Summary: the perfect combo! Review: I couldn't be happier that these Aussies hooked up for a program. My 2 year old loves the Wiggles and the Crocodile Hunter. The songs are all about animals and are catchy. My only complaint would be that she loves it too much! Even I find myself singing the songs! If your children like the Wiggles and animals, then this is the DVD for you!
Rating: Summary: how can you not like the wiggles?? Review: I bought this for my daughter's birthday and she just loves it! She adores the croc hunter, his wife Terri and Bindy. It is truly one I have not tired of myself, the animals and songs make her laugh and really use her imagination, as a matter of fact, Bindy is her imaginary friend,...bless her soul! This is a must for any wiggle library. By the way she just turned 5 and I was worried the Wiggles phase may have come to an end, but I dont see it coming anytime soon!
Rating: Summary: Something's missing in what could have been great fun Review: My daughter adores The Wiggles, and truth be told, I don't mind them myself. I thought this video would be a way to get her six-year-old brother to join in the fun, given the presence of the Crocodile Hunter. Unfortunately, it came up short for all of us.The production is strong, and the guys look like they're having a great time--they really do. But their fun doesn't make the leap to the viewer, regardless of age. Chief among the problems is that none of the songs is up to Wiggles par--not a single one sticks in your head. And the pacing is awkward at times, with rough transitions between songs. Of all The Wiggles videos in my house, this one gets viewed the least. Sad, because with its ingredients, it could have been really good.
Rating: Summary: Good, but could be better... Review: Our family loves the wiggles, but this is not one of their better ones. Not really what we expected, we thought there would be more animals, more of Steve Irwin and the Wiggles with the animals. The songs are new but not their best.
Rating: Summary: Good concept, not as well executed Review: My five year old daughter loves this video, primarily because of Steve Irwin and the animals; but I dislike the short editing cuts, which I think are overstimulating for my two year old and make the video difficult to watch. The songs are musically less creative and the choreography is not as good as in previous videos--just swinging hips and large groups standing around waving their arms. My daughter justs sits in a chair and watches; she does not get up and try to dance as in other Wiggles videos. As such, I think the video is less appealing and enriching for my children.
Rating: Summary: One of the Wiggles' best Review: My toddler is a big Wiggles fan and this movie is his current favorite. Contrary to some opinions, the songs are fantastic -- high energy and very catchy (just ask my husband and me, who have them stuck in our head constantly!). My son is a huge animal lover, and this video combines his beloved Wiggles with live-action footage of real snakes and camels, to name just a couple. I was never a big fan of Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter, but you have to admit, the guy has heart, and even he has grown on me. All in all, this is a great film for animal-loving Wiggle fans.
Rating: Summary: All children should see the Wiggles Review: end of the My grandson's version of this was under the tree at Christmas time and put the other presents to shame. Well, maybe everything but the electric train but he loves the Wiggles. Buy Every Wiggles movie you can. It will keep your children and grandchildren for hours and after about two days, you will be singing the songs as well. They are not just the hottest children's group in Austrilia, they are the hottest signing group period. It is for good reason as they seem like a nicer, smarter version of the Monkees. My grandson and I dance with Wags the Dog on a frequent basis. Don McNay...
Rating: Summary: Entertaining but a trifle amateurish Review: My two year old really loves this video. Having become somewhat of a Wiggles expert myself, though, I am not as impressed with it as I am the others. The location and lighting looks like they filmed it in their backyard at times, and the choreography is a bit sloppy sometimes. The dialogue too - not that it was ever great - has been reduced to: ANTHONY: We're lost. What are we going to do? What are we going to do? What are we going to do? What ARE we going to DO? On the positive side, the animals are great to look at. There are segments on camels, cockatooes, butterflies, koalas, dingoes, dolphins and others...the dolphin part features Captain Feathersword in a pirate WET SUIT. Points for creativity. Fans of Murray and Jeff may notice they are somewhat shortchanged, appearing only here and there it seems. Greg, Anthony, Captain Feathersword and of course Steve Irwin dominate on this one. Worth the money, but don't expect oscar-calibur cinematography.
Rating: Summary: Wiggles fans will love this, but... Review: There's no doubting the appeal of the Wiggles. Five wholesome young men, some catchy pop tunes and dancing easy enough for kids to join in. But there's something missing. Perhaps it's the charmless supporting cast of characters (do we really need another synthetic dinosaur on children's TV?) or the fairly clueless lyrics of their songs or just the plain hammy acting. Don't get me wrong. This video will appeal to the 2-5 age group. But if you want to expose your children to good music, crafted lyrics, witty professionalism and something with educational value, look again at Sesame Street.
Rating: Summary: Great Fun for the Wiggles fan in your family. Review: My son loves these guys! When The Safari Video came out, my son went nuts for it at the store. When we got it home, he wasn't disappointed. With gret dancing and singing by the guys and animal introductions by Steve Irwin, not to mention a handful of outtakes at the end and a small 9/11 dedication, you will be entertained.
