Rating: Summary: Waaay Too Long Intro Review: First I must say that my daughter just LOVES this video! But we must fastforward through about 15 minutes of advertisments to finaly be able to watch it. Otherwise though, this is one of our favorites in the collection. My 4 mounth old will watch it over and over and that is why the long intro is so anoying. But I guess thats what DVD's for.
Rating: Summary: Hilarious Review: My daughter loves both Mozart and Beethoven videos. And my husband and I find the duck-dog puppet "plot" quite hilarious. My daughter also loves the "marching" puppets of Wellington's Victory. I feel like this video is even more synchronized to the music than baby Mozart.
Rating: Summary: I love watching my daughter's reaction to this video! Review: The first time I put the video in, my 8 month old didn't really seem interested. But I tried it again another day and I cannot believe how it captivates her! And the fact that it is educational makes me not feel so guilty about using the tape as a distraction while I get some things done. She seems to be more interested in the puppets and animation than in any real people or scenes. But she watches the whole thing and I don't hear a peep. I spy on her and watch her bouncing, kicking her feet and "talking" to the tv. It's definitely worth it! Baby Einstein videos are everything other moms told me they were.
Rating: Summary: A good one to start your collection Review: My four-month-old son just loves Baby Beethoven and Baby Mozart. Their very similiar in format -- lovely music, colorful toys, objects spinning, etc. So if you're looking for a couple Baby Einstein films to start your collection for your young infant, Baby Beethoven would be perfect. My son loves it -- he smiles and giggles when he knows it's coming on, he laughes and "talks" to the puppets, and wiggles his legs all around. I think I even saw his swaying or dancing one time. So if your baby is very young (say, under 8 months or so?), I recommend sticking to this type of film -- where your child loves the colors, movements, shapes, etc. But be careful moving on to other Baby Einstein films. My four-month-old hated Baby Neptune, since it had more real life footage -- kids playing in a puddle, a whale crashing into the sea, etc. Not the most exciting for a young infant. I think it just has to do with colors and silliness -- my son even loves the VeggieTales DVDs -- and not an interest in seeing actual people.
Rating: Summary: This is your 2nd purchase after Baby Mozart! Review: This is an improvement over Baby Bach. They started with a great format for Baby Mozart, lost it with Baby Bach and recaptured it here. Love the kinetics, puppets and active toys. The music works well with the action on the screen. Wish I would have skipped Baby Bach and gone right to this. Very helpful tool for exposing your child to music and video. This video is suitable for the under 1 year. My daughter is otherwise not exposed to television or video. This one will not scramble them neurologically. I recommend it!
Rating: Summary: My daughter's favorite!! 5 stars plus!! Review: My daughter absolutely loves all her Baby Einstein videos, but Baby Beethoven is definately her favorite!! (Maybe it's genetic - Beethoven is her father's favorite too!) I bought Baby Beethoven for her when she was 2.5 months old, and at six months old, she is still fascinated with it! She loves the puppets (especially Pavlov - I wish they made a Pavlov puppet I could buy for her) and she gets so excited when she sees the little inch worm in the beginning - she knows that one of her favorite videos is on! We have other videos that feature classical music and I can see that she recognizes the pieces that she has heard on her Baby Einstein videos. Ode to Joy is by far her favorite! She gets so excited any time she hears it - on other videos, commercials, etc. I am so thankful that the Baby Einstein videos were available so that I was able to introduce her to beautiful music at such a young age.
Rating: Summary: They Just Keep Getting Better Review: My 7 month old son loved Baby Mozart but would get a little bored in some spots like some of the other reviewers. He has not had this problem with Baby Beethoven. Recently we took a 4 hour trip and my husband sat in the back with my son. After my son woke up he was really fussy and wanted to get out of his seat. My husband had his laptop, so he popped in the BB DVD and my son watched it over and over again just laughing and looking. It was just the trick we needed to get to our destination without stopping every 30 minutes. I definitely recommend this DVD and look forward to trying others.
Rating: Summary: Useless content Review: OK, I'll admit that my 3-month-old son loves this video, but he pretty much loves anything that comes up on the TV (like most babies his age). As a mother, however, I am very disappointed with the content. Sure, the music may be stimulating, but this video teaches my son NOTHING. I prefer other children's videos that incorporate counting and colors and even other languages along with the stimulating music. (The original Baby Einstein does this, but it is very poor in quality). And I'm not the type of mom who uses videos as babysitters - I like to sit with my son and watch with him, pointing out different concepts as we go along. Needless to say, I'm bored stiff watching this video - all I can say to my son is "oh - another spinning toy!" I'm not impressed, and I'm very surprised what big sellers these videos are. I could make one at home!!
Rating: Summary: Baby Beethoven: Symphony of Fun DVD Review: My daughter LOVES Baby Beethoven. We first put it on when she was 2 months old and she has loved it ever since. It has been wonderful to have and has helped greatly when she's been crabby but it's too early for bed. All she has to hear is the intro and she gets excited. I think they did an EXCELLENT job of putting in things that keep the attention of an infant. Just remember that every child is different, this works for my child but might not work for yours. I talked so highly about the dvd and bought it for my nephew who is 3 months younger than my daughter but he has no interest in it. Just like everything else with babies, it's trial and error. AND I think this is one that is definately worth trying!
Rating: Summary: disappointed Review: The sound quality was awful. The music sounded tinny and full of static. The pictures were not much different from other videos in this series. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the sales receipt.
