Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: Baby Mozart is a very creative idea. Take classical music, arrange it to be more child-friendly, then add action. Even I really like this video. When I first saw it, I thought that it was a bit bizarre, but I kept watching and found it fascinating. One of my favorite parts about this DVD is the language lab. I have the matching cards and it is really cool to hear the pronounciations of words in different languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese and Russian. The Parents' Guide that comes with the DVD is also very helpful. There is a Home Theater Index, Concert Hall Index and Language Lab Index, so you know exactly what is on the video. Also included is a list of language lab vocab words and an explanation about the language lab.
Rating: Summary: The best one to begin your newborn's love for learning!!!!!! Review: My son started watching this when he was only a month old. Now, he watches it about three times a week, usually while in his car seat before he goes off to daycare in the morning. He has so much fun watching the colors, shapes, and listening to the music! The movement of colors being set to Mozart is truly an attention getter for a child.... and best yet, you can interact with it too! Pointing out "banana, dog, cat, star...." when those things are shown really gives you, the parent, a chance to help teach your child basic "first knowledge" elements. The Language Lab portion of the DVD is AMAZING! The fact that you have so many different languages to choose from is really awesome! Even my 11 yo. step daughter, who wants to learn japanese, can sit down and learn the Japanese words for "Dog, Cat...." A MUST BUY!!!!! Don't let anyone tell you that this is frivilious.... this really will, I wholeheartedly believe, advance your infants learning capabilities!
Rating: Summary: Totally Captivated! Review: We bought this video when my daughter was about 3 months old and she was captivated! She is now 6 months and still loves them. It entertains her all the way through to the end and she still wants more, she laughs and babbles to the babies and toys on the screen. We have made Baby Einstein part of every mornings routine ( it allows me time for my shower) and she is kept happy, later we watch again together and play. We love them! I can't say enough!
Rating: Summary: Music is HORRIBLE! Review: For a company that wants to expose music to babies, HIGH QUALITY recordings should be used. The music on the DVDs are all done by computer or synthesizer, and its not a very good one! The recordings are aweful and are not musical at all. I am VERY dissappointed!
Rating: Summary: Kind of amazing Review: I don't know if this is educational or helps your baby to learn as some might claim, but babies are definately very interested in it. I actually was showing it to my mother while she stayed with us. I thought it was pretty neat. I happened to be holding my daughter who was about a week old at the time. She was actually interested in looking at it. Of course, you have to put her pretty close to the screen, but she finds it neat. At her age, some parts are more interesting than others. Doesn't care at all about the parts with puppets, but stares at the ones with fast moving, brightly colored things. It is actually a little freaky. You almost wonder if there's some sort of subliminal brainwashing going on where Disney is really telling them to demand visits to the theme parks in the future. Ha. Still....our daughter could watch it from a week old and found it interesting.
Rating: Summary: My 2 month old loves it! Review: She is totally mesmerized by it! It's the only thing that keeps her attention. It's funny to watch her stare at the tv for such a long time! Unbelievable! It works! I can actually cook dinner now or get dressed or whatever! Freedom! This product started her on a path. Now she is interacting more with all of her toys and keeping herself occupied...at 2 months old!
Rating: Summary: He Loves It! Review: Our 3 1/2 month old son is quite fussy and very few toys/products keep his attention for more than a couple minutes. Baby Mozart has been a life saver for us to say the least. He can be crying his eyes out and when we start the DVD he stops immediately and it usually keeps his attention for the duration. He's been watching it almost every day for nearly a month now. It's been a great investment for us and we would definitely recommend it to others.
Rating: Summary: yawn Review: If it is possible to make Mozart dull, the folks at Baby Einstein have done it. My almost 9 month old hates the dvd, and so do I. The best part? It isn't refundable or exchangeable. Save yourself the money and just play your child some classical music.
Rating: Summary: I Agree With Topeka Review: Baby Mozart is a bit young for my two year old. So, on Topeka, KA recommendation, I tried Let's Talk With Puppy Dog All About Shapes. My son can't get enough. He makes the shapes with his hands and really participates. Baby Mozart is good for the baby crowd, but think again for two and up. Thanks Topeka!
Rating: Summary: Most entertaining video/dvd Review: We have purchased a few eductional videos/dvds for our 5 month old, Jake. He absolutely loves this Baby Mozart DVD. While he doesn't care at all for the Baby Bach, he is enthralled by Baby Mozart. We think it is because there is much more color/ activity/motion/movement to the music, and the Baby Bach has a lot of "still" scenes that seem pretty boring. If he is going to watch any t.v. at this age, we feel like this is one of the best things for him to be interested in and learn from.
