Rating: Summary: Fascinating for baby, 30 minutes for Mommy Review: This colorful, fun video for baby is the best I've seen so far. Although the "Mozart Effect" (the theory that Mozart's mathematically composed pieces stimulate brain develpoment in babies)is disputed, I bought this anyway after watching a friend's baby reacting positively to it.The music is perfect, nothing too boring or overwhelming for an infant, and the visuals have delighted my baby from 2 months of age to 17 months, which he is now. During his immobile young months, I would prop him on a Boppy and watch him kick and smile at the fun images of toys, animals, and fruit he saw. Nowadays, we watch together and I name the things onscreen while he dances around to the music. TV haters stop reading now: I must admit (and recommend heartily) that some days I would play this video when I needed a few minutes to pay some bills or wash dishes/fold laundry. It gave me a break and I knew he was watching something that delighted him but was age-appropriate. I recommend and often buy this video for new mothers for all of these reasons. For a change of pace, Baby Bach is nice also, but there are 2 parts Brandon cried through because he found them boring.
Rating: Summary: Poor quality, you could do better Review: Disney hype at it finest. One could probably do better by taking their video camera out for an hour or so and when you spot a letter A say "A" and so on... Identify family members, the cat, on your video a train ect... play it to Mozart and you would have something much better than this silly thing. Mozart piano concertos number 24 and 27 are highly recommended, or the violin Duos #2. If one must buy a video of this genra you might choose the Brainy Baby series. They actually spoke in complete sentences, the video quality was worlds better, the music crisper and the activities had some logic to them that an infant might make some sense from.
Rating: Summary: These videos are a God-send! Review: I am not an advocate for the TV being a babysitter, but let's face it, sometimes you need a half an hour to get something done. DD has been watching these movies since she was 12 weeks old (she's now 1 and still loves them). They will calm her down when nothing else will. I LOVE these videos!!!
Rating: Summary: If you only buy one thing buy any of these videos. Review: This has been the only way to calm down my son from the time he was just 3 weeks old. He is now 16 months old and still loves the videos. I am not a big advocate of sticking children in front of the television but these videos are great not only to calm down a baby or toddler but to get some saniety back into mom and dads heads. Some of my friends with children the same age did not have children as intrested in it but my son loves it. I have found that boys usually like it better than girls.
Rating: Summary: Smart Stimulation For Baby Review: I purchased this video in preparation for the little one. I have already loaned it out to fellow expectant Moms to preview. We don't want to use simple cartoon videos as a babysitter, we insist on adding education to all stimulation. This video stands up to that demand.
Rating: Summary: My daughter is hypnotized by this video Review: When my infant daughter is fussy, we put her in her swing and turn on "baby mozart". She seems to by hypnotized as she watches the screen. It is a sure way to get your infant to stop crying.
Rating: Summary: My 7-week old loves it! Review: My 7-week old infant is delighted by the video. She loves to see all of the interesting pictures on the screen. She also seems to enjoy the classical music!
Rating: Summary: Best way to keep baby entertained for 30 min Review: We originally bought this on VHS and had to buy the DVD to get the repeat play option. My daughter is 10 months old and would watch this all day if we let her. It works well for keeping her entertained while taking a shower or getting things done around the house. The music is great. Adults can listen to this without going crazy (unlike teletubbies which I can't stand to listen to) I would highly recommend to anyone with an infant.
Rating: Summary: It really grabs my baby's attention! Review: I bought this DVD because I had heard many good things about it. I'm glad I did! My daughter starting watching it at 3 1/2 months. Now she is 5 months and still watches it everyday. It is part of our morning routine. She watches it right after bathtime and her morning bottle (so Mommy can eat a quick breakfast). She squeals with delight everytime. The music is great! It has a combination of things to look at. Each segment lasts about 45 seconds. There are toys in motion, puppets, fiber optic lamps with changing colors, still pictures of fruits and animals, colored water toys, etc... My daughter gets bored with a few of the segments (still pictures of fruits and animals), but that is OK because another segment is going to start in just a few seconds. She loves the puppets and brightly colored water toys. I really like it because humans are not in the video (only hands that are playing with the toys). I am not a fan of putting children in front of the TV, but I don't mind this one. It is educational for a baby with the interesting things to look at and the wonderful music to dance to. Mommy also gets to eat her breakfast!
Rating: Summary: Great attention getter Review: I was given this video as a gift - and it is worth it's weight in gold. My baby was mezmorized at on only 4 weeks and still is at 8 months. It's great if you need 20 min of peace, and it's a great learning tool as well.
