Rating: Summary: As crazy as this video seems to me.. it works Review: I first saw this video two years ago before we had our daughter. I was a guest at a friends house who had two infants. I came downstairs to drink some coffee and chat with the parents. I heard the music, and I watched the camera showing a grown up providing visual stimulus by playing with baby toys and puppets. I thought it was really dumb, then after a few minutes I found my attention getting absorbed by the video. My wife still laughs when she sees the video. Now that we have a two month old, I've found this a great parenting tool. The baby sits in her bouncy chair and stares at the TV non-stop for 20 mins. She laughs and coos at the shapes and seems to dance with the music. This video gives parents a 20 min window to take a nap. The applause at the end of the video wakes me up.
Rating: Summary: Great Video Review: Combines music and learning. My baby seems to really be entertained by it. Its a bit short, I think, but then so are most baby's attention spans. So I guess it works out.
Rating: Summary: Must Have - Wouldn't want to do without it Review: I bought this for my son when he was 2 months old on the recommedation of my Pediatrician and couldn't be happier. I buy one for every expectant mom for their new little one. It was something that allowed us to get a meal in while he watched. Now at 11 months he still enjoys it and gets excited once he hears the music start. Great product.
Rating: Summary: Baby Mozart Review: My 4 month old loves this video. He started watching it when he was 2 1/2 months old. If you need to take a quick shower, cook dinner or need 1/2 hour to get something done, just pop in the vidoe. If he gets fussy, I sometimes pop in the vidoe and he stops crying immediately. It is amazing. You will not be wasting your money on this vidoe. From now on, I will buy this video as gifts instead of clothes.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Babies.. Review: I bought Baby Mozart when my daughter was about 13 months old. I bought it just to create an entertainment for her. I was aware that she was not fond of TV except the video clips of some stars. But the very first time I put this dvd on, she seemed to me very much impressed because she never turned her head till it ended. Her concentration was perfect. I recommend everyone to try one of these 'Baby' series once.
Rating: Summary: Great Video! Review: We received this as a shower gift, and didn't really think much of it at the time, but my son is 7 months old now and has been mesmerized by this video since he was a month old. The colors are very vibrant and the music is wonderful. He is a very active little guy, but immediately stops and stares as soon as we put the tape in. I've recommended it to everyone I know.
Rating: Summary: great stuff Review: I love the baby einstein and baby genius products. It is a great way to play classical music and interact with your child. Ellery and I play on the floor with the videos on if something catches his attention I describe the action on the TV. Sometimes the the colors and actions will hold his attention for a long time otherwise it is great music to have on in the background.
Rating: Summary: Kids are creatures of habit Review: Although I must say my children, for the most part, have liked these videos, and this one has been quite handy at bedtime, I do take on a few issues. I agree with the reviewer that said the dragon, etc. puppetry was scary to sensitive children, although I have felt it more with Baby Bach. Second,I agree with the reviewer that this video will not help your child become smarter, or develop a true ear. But, mostly I agree with the reviewer that says "don't be fooled" because you are setting them up to embrace total commercialism--plastic, non interactive toys and tinny music. I am not totally opposed to this video, in fact at times its been a real lifesaver. But I do believe that it should not become a staple in a baby's daily experience. The better one to by would be Baby Van Gogh if you want one.
Rating: Summary: This is a daily treat for my son! Review: My almost 5 month old son is a very demanding baby - he constantly craves attention, even if you simply turn your head! I had read reviews on this and decided to get this as a Christmas present for him (when he was 3 months old). At first he wasn't too thrilled by it, but now this is like a daily treat for him! He can sit and watch it over and over if I'd let him - I usually let it play once and see if he's still interested enough to watch it again. I've seen it so often I know exactly what's showing when a different song comes on. It has really helped his visual skills and it keeps him highly focused - hard to do with a squirming 4 month old that wants you to hold him all day! I really like the music; the graphics are terribly boring for an adult, unless you just need time to zone out and relax for a while. My husband is a musician and blasts rock n roll all evening long so the nice compositions are a good switch for my son. I wish I had thought of this idea, I'd be rich! My husband also bought the Language Nursery and I'm not fond of it; neither is my son. He usually gets bored very quickly and I don't like the fact that they don't give you the words in English when they're saying something in another language. I highly recommend Baby Mozart to anyone with a high needs child, or just needing a half hour to yourself!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Videos Review: These videos are wonderful. My daugher has the baby Mozart, Baby Beethoven, and Baby Bach. All are wonderful videos. She started watching them when she was just two months old. She is facinated by them. If she starts getting fussy, I can put a video in and it usually calms her. I wish I had thought of this!
