Rating: Summary: could have been better Review: We started with Baby Dolittle Neighborhood Animals (great video). We moved on to Baby Shakespeare (very good as well). So we thought we'd give it a third try with Baby Mozart. Big mistake. The classical music is nice and my daughter will dance to it, but there are several minute-long segments to this video that are just plain BORING - spinning balls and beads, swinging pendulums, swirling liquid. A baby cannot relate to these objects at all. My 15 month old daughter loses interest after a few seconds and strolls away from the tv. Even pictures of animals would have been better. I would return this video if I could.
Rating: Summary: The best video! Review: My son is 4 months old & he loves this video. He "talks" & laughs while watching this video. Every morning, I put him in his bouncey seat & put in the video & it gives me a 1/2 hour to get ready ....My husband & I also have watched the video & it really is very good....I would defiently put it on a baby registry!!
Rating: Summary: Baby Mozart has been a godsend at times Review: We were given Baby Mozart on VHS as a gift. During one of my son's many colicky spells, I popped in the Baby Mozart tape out of desperation, and suddenly a miracle happened - he stopped crying - he was transfixed by the images on the screen. It was amazing how calm he became while watching the screen. I, too, am not one to endorse TV watching, but a little bit here and there doesn't hurt. Often, I'd get a load of laundry folded while my son watched the video. Baby Mozart is definitely the best out of the Einstein company. My son particularly loves puppets, and this one has lots of them. Baby Mozart was definitely worth the money in my opinion.
Rating: Summary: God's gift to Mothers Review: I was a new rookie mother and had read all the books and was totally against and tv watching until my son was older. My son Ben was given Baby Mozart for Christmas and though I was hesitant at first and took the gift politely, I put it into the DVD player so I could see what it was like while my baby was sitting and playing with toys in his swing. The minute the music began playing and the bright colors came across the screen, he dropped what he was doing, stopped making any noise and was completely entranced. He began kicking and laughing with delight. Since then my husband and I live by baby Einstein even if only to give us a minute or two to throw in a load of laundry or pick up a little. It is great!
Rating: Summary: Baby Mozart does the trick! Review: This video is wonderful. My little girl cannot get enough. I can take a shower, get dressed, and she is totally occupied. Love that. I did take the advice of another viewer and bought "Singing Babies Nursery Rhyme Time," which I must say is another attention grabber for my child. She tries to sing along. Thanks viewer for two great recommendations!
Rating: Summary: Excellent even for young babies Review: Great video. We try to discourage TV, but this video is educational and entertaining. My 8 month old has been watching this video since he was 3 months old. He absolutely loves it. He was a preemie and was used to being held alot. He would not sit anywhere for more than 3-5 minutes, except to watch this video -and he would watch the whole video. I would know when it was done, because he would start to whine. I hope your little one enjoys it as much as our baby has.
Rating: Summary: 20 minutes of sanity. Review: With two year old b/g twins, I look back over the last two years and I just want to give Julie Clark a big giant kiss for giving me 20 minutes of sanity when I needed it most. From the minute the little dog says "WOOF" in the first three seconds of the opening credits, my twins were (and still are) absolutely taken by every second of this wonderful video. I love some others in this series even more...Baby Einstein is one of my favorites too because it uses foreign languages. This remains a 'classic' in our home. VERY highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Great, but... Review: This is probably the only thing (besides mommy) that will entertain my 10 month old daughter for a solid 30 minutes. The only drawback is that the puppets scared her the first few times she saw them. If we watch it together, she still grabs onto my legs when she sees the puppets. But the rest of the video she loves!
Rating: Summary: Baby Mozart is great! Review: My 13 month old boy loves music. That's why I play him this tape as well as "Singng Babies Nursery Rhyme Time," which introduces him to all the great nursery rhymes. Both are really wonderful tapes that free up my morning to get everybody in the house out the door while knowing that my baby is in "excellent hands." I've tried other videos but these are the two that my boy loves.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful stimulation from day 1! Review: Our daughter had colic for the first few months of her life and absolutely NOTHING helped until a friend suggested putting her in a bouncy seat and sitting her in front of the Bach and Mozart videos. I cannot believe what a lifesaver these two videos were for me. She stared in amazement at them and was absolutely quiet until she was able to smile and then eventually laugh. Now, she is 15 months old and has the ENTIRE Baby Einstein collection. She absolutely loves them and is learning quite a bit. Being a stay-at-home mother, these videos are a big help in teaching our daughter about colors, shapes, animals, and more. I buy them as gifts now for all expecting friends of mine!
