Rating: Summary: Terrific video! Review: My 16-month-old son was absolutely fascinated by this video, and wanted to watch it almost constantly (well, until we got Barney on video, but that's another story). We all loved the background music as well as the beautiful poems & bright toys they showed. Ryan's favorite part was when the kids sang the ABC song, although I was a bit disturbed that all of the children were girls. Couldn't they find ANY boys?
Rating: Summary: Violent images and a repeat of previous videos Review: This video is just a repeat of images found in Baby Mozart and Baby Einstein. I also was surprised and displeased by the violence portrayed in the video. My daughter (18 mos) who still enjoys the other two videos walked away in the frist 5 minutes of watching this.
Rating: Summary: A terrific addition to a great series Review: We own all four of the tapes in the Baby Einstein series and all are terrific, but Baby Shakespeare is the best of all. It is for a little older child, but it has poetry, more interesting toys to watch, drawings that turn into real objects (like a train, a cow, a flower, etc) and children singing their ABC's. It also uses more hand puppets and has little funny skits that are adorable. My two year old son loves all of the Baby Einstein videos, but he asks for this one by name. My only criticism is that all the children in the video are girls. A small flaw in an otherwise splendid presentation.
Rating: Summary: Another winner! Review: After the other three videos were a hit (although Baby Bach is the weakest) my 10-month-old absolutely loves this new one. She laughs and smiles whenever the now familiar kids come on and especially when they all sing the A-B-Cs. As long as Julie Clark and Co. keep producing these, we'll keep buying them. And I too have given many of them as baby gifts...
Rating: Summary: We love this one! Review: We already own the three other videos by Baby Einstein, and my twins love them all. This one is the most "advanced", silly and delightful of the four. The book that it comes with is really beautiful, and my kids are facinated with Bard. I'll give it as a shower gift to everyone!
Rating: Summary: made for the 1 and under set; not for older babies Review: might be fun for the younger babes, but my son is 22 months, and he was only mildly interested and or amused in spots, otherwise he was bored and played with toys. he doesn't watch t.v. except for videos such as sesame street, french and spanish languages and thomas the tank engine. I'd hoped for much classical music, but was disappointed there, too. seemed to have way too much of the cutesy girls (ONLY GIRLS, WHAT BOYS DON'T MATTER?), lots of ambi brand toys rolling across the screen and far too much lame puppet action and too few shots of nature. this is the first and last of this genre i'm buying. aloha!
Rating: Summary: best one of the bunch Review: i have all four videos and this one is the best one out of the bunch. it is a must have if you have seen any of the other videos.
Rating: Summary: The best one yet...Great lead actor! Review: My daughter is 21 months old and Baby Motzart was our first...we now own every Video and CD that Julie Clarke has made. This one is my daughters favorite hands down. She asks to see Blah (thats Bard the lead character) all the time. She actually laughs out loud at some of the scenes. And she brought the accompanying book into her daycare and they read it to the class and raved too! You have to get this.
Rating: Summary: Another success from the Baby Einstein's Company Review: I was informed about Baby Einstein's products when my son was 3 months old. So the first video I tried was the Baby Mozart. When my husband and I first looked at it, it looked silly but my son absolutely loved it. The video somehow manages to capture baby's attention. So we bought Baby Einstein next. My baby just laughed at all the little silly things they do on the video. Baby Shakespeare, in my opinion, is a video you buy if you already have the other videos since kids will remember the puppets and the setup and they like the familiarity. I rotate the 3 videos for my son and he absolutely loves them all.
Rating: Summary: The best Baby Einstein video yet! Review: Hands down, this is not only the best of the Baby Einstein series but it is also one of the best children's videos ever created. Our nine-month old daughter laughs at the silly puppet shows, listens intently to the music and poetry, and watches raptly as the brilliant graphics and toys dance on-screen. Nearly everything in this video is also entertaining for the adults; my wife and I will be watching this one with our baby for years to come. It is rare to see a children's video that is made with such love and attention to entertaining and educating children, and that is not made with the sole intent of making a fast buck off our child. We can't wait for Baby Van Gogh!
