Summary: Be Patient!
Review: Have a little patience with this video.I have twin girls who didn't respond to it as I had hoped they would the first six months, but after six months it became their favorite video! It is a lifesaver for me, allowing me 30 minutes of quiet time with the babies to get some of my own things done. They are glued to the television during those 30 minutes. Give it some time, they'll end up loving it and so will you!

Summary: An educated parent's $.02
Review: I had to add my input after reading all the reviews, positive and negative. This video does indeed appear "homemade." However, the creator (Julie Clark) and her husband, who does all the video, have gotten progressively more sophisticated with each video, although I would not recommend any of the Baby _____ videos for their video quality. Regardless, they are captivating to young babies. My six month old son has been watching all three, Einstein, Mozart and Bach since he was one month old. I was very dubious regarding the claims that they would interest a baby this young. He reacted with delight then, and continues to enjoy them all. He has just started watching Baby Shakespeare which seems to be his favorite, so don't be afraid to start your baby early on this one. I would suggest if your baby doesn't take to it the first time, give it a second try. You can get all the adult opinions you want, but really, it's how your baby reacts that counts! It's been designed to appeal to babies and their view of the world.

Summary: Sorry I believed the reviews
Review: I was very disappointed in this video. I am sorry that when I bought the video for my granddaughter I only read the first couple reviews (which were positive) and did not get to the ones that criticized it. A very poor video and now I've had three babies with their perspective parents watch it and they ALL feel the same. I might add that these were all parents who are college graduates--an attorney, an accountant, an engineer and a teacher included. I would not recommend this video.

Summary: overall a good buy
Review: i found the video to be quite simple and home-made, but my almost 7 month old seems to enjoy it. it holds her attention very well. and i like that it's atleast got some educational value.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: My 10 month old daughter is in awe! The moment I put the tape in and the TV is turned on she becomes mesmerized. The music of Mozart is purely magic. A simple production however extremely creative. Only a mother could come up with this concept. Kudos.

Summary: Speaker¿s voices are appealing to adults as well as children
Review: This tape was not designed to teach your child foreign languages. Surprisingly that is what my 6-month-old likes most about this tape. She seems intrigued by the speakers on Baby Einstein. It was designed for short attention spans. Each segment last no longer than 30 seconds. She will sit through the entire tape. The voices on Baby Einstein are geared towards children but are pleasing for the adult ear. My 62-year-old father even watched it with her, both starring motionless at the screen. I also own Baby Mozart. And although it is the same concept my daughter does not enjoy the music at this age as much as the talking in Baby Einstein.

Summary: Best Video for Small Baby!
Review: My daughter is 10 weeks old, and she absolutely LOVES this video. She sits in her bouncy chair and laughs, coos, kicks her feet and waves her arms for the entire 30 minutes. The scenes change just quick enough to maintain her interest. I wouldn't expect her to become a genius by watching this video, but it sure beats some of my other attempts to entertain her and get her involved in the world. At least I know that she has a half-hour of fun each day.

Summary: Finally, something good to watch!
Review: Baby Einstein is supposed to be used starting with infants, but I just recently discovered it for my 15 month old. She absolutely loved the different languages and tried to "sing" along! The speakers articulate clearly and speak fairly slowly making it easy to learn. Even my 6 year old developmentally delayed son could tell when someone was counting in another language. This is a definite winner!

Summary: Baby Einstein
Review: I must admit I was fairly skeptical when I saw the introduction which claims to stimulate babies brains with foreign languages and colorful objects. I was even more skeptical when I saw the homemade video format but I was soon won over when I saw how enthralled my son was with it starting at the age of 1 month. He is now 10 months old and it is still a great way to get a few minutes to cook dinner or just relax without feeling guilty. We have tried several other videos including Baby Mozart and haven't gotten the same reaction. Baby Einstein is great.

Summary: Einstein Would Be Embarrassed
Review: I was as disappointed with this video and its rave reviews as was my 6 month old son. While I wasn't expecting a half hour video to teach him the laws of gravity I also didn't expect to watch a video that appears to be "home-made." I could have just as easily picked up a camcorder, taped some of the toys I have around the house and dubbed in some classical musical for effect. This video is very amateur-like in style and content. Shame on the producers and manufacturers of this video for capitalizing on the names Mozart and Einsten and for taking advantage of parents who eagerly purchase these videos with the hopes of enhancing their children's intellect. Call me old fashioned but I think I'll stick with the tried and true and continue to read to my son rather than try to distract him with a video.
