Summary: 13 month old can't get enough!
Review: I purchased this video for my 13 month old son about a week ago. He can't get enough of it! Prior to watching this video, all animals were "cat" to him. He can now say "cow", "bird" and "bunny" after just a week of watching. He is captivated for the entire 30 minutes and asks to watch the video at least twice a day. He enjoys searching through his toys to find his own animals to match the ones on the screen which provides a fun game for us to play together. I can't wait until Baby Dolittle World Animals is released.

We also own other videos in this series: Baby Mozart, Baby Bach, Baby Van Gogh, and Baby Santa's Music Box. My son began watching Baby Mozart when he was only 2 months old and LOVED it. He was so animated and excited especially when the trains came on the screen. Baby Bach is good, but not as good as Baby Mozart. My son seems to prefer Mozart's music to Bach's. I do not agree with the other reviewers' comments about Julie Clark's children. I find them to be adorable and have enjoyed watching them. My son also enjoys Baby Van Gogh and Baby Santa's Music Box, but for a baby who is trying to figure out the world around him, Baby Dolittle's Neighborhood Animals is definitely the favorite right now.

Review: This is one of my two-year-old favorite DVDs. He loves the animals and the colors!

Summary: good but... it made my kid CRY!
Review: The video is not bad (it is not as good as world animals)... My 16mo old daugther likes the DVD... BUT the key scene you must fast forward is a scene where a bee is swatted... she cried so hard. I have no idea why they would put a scene like that in the video. I have heard this from other parents and read it in other Amazon reviews.

Summary: this movie is great for young children
Review: not to sound rude but this movie will SHUT YOUR KIDS UP. i am a babysitter. i love to bring this with me. when they cry but u cant figure out why stick this in and they will calm down and start to watch this. sure, its not fun for u to watch, but i would rather watch this than listen to babies cry. i have 2 baby brothers who watch this series all the time.

i also suggest musical baby. it is another series kids love.

Summary: Good for animal-loving kids
Review: This video features mainly live-action footage of various animals, with some puppetry. The puppets and story scenes are not as good as, say, Baby Beethoveen, but my 1 year old really enjoys this tape. I think this is a good purchase for a toddler who is going through a phase where they love animals.

Summary: disappointed
Review: We have 6 Baby Einstein dvds and this one we didn't like. They used footage from World Animals and Baby Neptune in this DVD and some of the animals they did use would not be in a average neighborhood.

Summary: One of the best....
Review: My 14-month-old absolutely loves this DVD. This is one of her favorites along with World Animals and Baby MacDonald. The only segment that upsets her is when Pavlov smacks the bee with a fly swatter. She starts whining at me when the "bug" segment starts so I can fast forward it through that scene. Otherwise, she is mesmerized for the whole movie.
