Summary: Titan World
Review: When Bill Yoast gets taken off as head coach, Herman Boone taking his place, all the white kids want him to stay. But Coach Boone means WORK HARD! Coach Yoast brings in white kids, and he's burning Coach Boone's grits. WHne he calls all white and black kids for camp, a new player comes. His name is Sunshine. Now, have I not introduced you to characters. Gerry, Petey, Louie, Cheryl, Juluis, you will hear me use their names a lot. When Sunshine kisses Gerry, he gets mad. Then someone starts the radio that plays, 'Ain't no mountain high or low! Ain't no mountain high or low.' *I start to dance because it's my favorite song.* Someone throws a brick into Coach Boone's window, and who knows who threw the brick in Coach Boone's window? They win all of their games before championship, and they win the Northern Virginia Football championships. Then, after the game, Gerry has a car accident. Juluis comes in, and tells him, "You can't be hurt like this, your Superman!" Gerry tells Cheryl to be the eyes of the field, and in the championship, Allen, another player gives Petey his place and Petey scores. Then The Titans win! Gerry dies 10 years later, but his spirit lives in the hearts of The Titans and Cheryl and all of the town and coaches and Virginia.

Review: This is one of the Best movies I have ever seen and sure Denzel did come up with a great performance.This movie encompassed almost everything from Segregation till Unity and friendship and of course Respect for others. I really liked this one and looking forward to add to my DVD Library.

Summary: A Different Kind of Movie
Review: "Remember the Titans" is an awesome movie. I liked it because there was no major swearing, sex, violence, etc., but it is still one of the best movies that I've seen. In my opinion there was no bad acting in it, and the fact that the movie was based on a true story makes it all the more heartwarming. I'm not very big on football myself, but this movie is much more than football. I think it captures the spirit of the 1970's when the black and white schools of America began intigration. I suggest this movie for everybody.

Summary: Best coming of age sports film since Rudy
Review: Remember the Titans stood a chance of leaning fully on Denzel Washington's sheer acting skill. Once the film wound up, what a treat to find a great cast with good story development across several layers. Titans goes beyond just being the tale of Coach Boone (Denzel Washington) breaking the color barrier in the all-white high school. Will Patton as is in a great role as the displaced and demoted Coach Yoast. There is the typical good-guy, bad-guy play between Boone and Yoast in their relationships with players, but here's a great example of humility and dedication overcoming prejudice. A real surprise came in the performance of the newer young actors, including the Titan team captain, who overcame his own racial weaknesses to be a true team leader. Your going to walk out of the movie having had a great time plus having a sense of hope that racial divides can be overcome. It's a great film about dedication that goes beyond the playing field.

Review: Denzel Washington at his best! Inspiring, enlivening, thought-provoking, and bursting at the seams with young talent! Canada's own native son, Ryan Gosling, gives a spectacular performance as Bosley, a clumsy but cute member of the mighty Titans football team; once again, another talent flies south of the border and makes good! GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

Summary: More audience participation than Omega Code, and deserves it
Review: The wrap-up that Mr.Shannon at Amazon.com gives is accuarte and ver well thought-out and I won't try to compete with that. So I'll just add in my two pennies about this excellent flick. In 1973, I entered a high school that was predominately black. So this movie really hit home for me. It felt very real and familiar, right down to the momma jokes. I've heard other reviewers complain about the cliches and sterotypes, but damn it, sometimes that's how it really happened. Denzel is my favorite actor, and he is the most recognizable face here, and he did his usual excellent job. All the other characters had solid performances as well - and this is important in a film with so much character development in it, as opposed to flashy special effects. The packed audience was really into it too, clapping and cheering at each field goal and laughing at situations that were genuinely funny. This is a Disney film, and it shows. The lack of any cussing or swearing is the only thing that seemed unreal about it, but that is easily forgiven for its family viewing merits. The next time you're feeling down, see this movie. I guarantee you, you will be glad you did..

Review: This is the story of the football team that results when three high schools (two black and one white) are integrated in 1971. The former white coach (Patton) steps down, and a black coach (Washington) takes over, much to the chagrin of those local people with lingering racist tendencies. Against great odds, the resultant new team went on to great success.

Review: movies don't get much better than this..... denzel washington is at his best here in this true story of a football coach who won't accept anything less than the best from his players. he puts them through a military style training camp,but they come out of it with unity and respect for one another which fuels their season and their overwhelming desire to win. and it's this desire that spreads throughout their town who wasn't very receptive to the new coach or the idea of black players joining what was an all white team(the movie is set in 1971 virginia). this movie is highly recommended and is a perfect addition to any movie lovers collection.

Review: Denzel Washington turns in another great performance and many think he'll be up for another Oscar. I agree. Remember the Titans has it all, for women, men, and kids. The story revolves in 1971 and the High School is JUST then integrated and Denzel takes over the head coaching job for the football team from WILL PATTON. This causes the White and Black players to be SEGREGATED on the team, but Denzel along w/ ASSISTANT coach PATTON train them in football and teach them a lesson about each other...Integrating the Football team and then changing the towns ways by playing great football together! Lots of Young talent in this movie...Denzel and Will Patton turn in great performances and you'll walk away from this one with a good feeling. BASED ON A TRUE STORY!

Summary: I wish I could give this movie six stars instead of five.
Review: Remember the Titans is the true story of a small town in Virginia during the 1970's. The "white" high school and the "black" high school are forced to combine into one as the town explodes in racial havoc. Just as the caucasian football coach Yoast is about to enter the Virginian high school football hall of fame, he is demoted to assistant head coach when the two high schools combine. The new head coach is Coach Boone (Denzel Washington), an experienced African-American football coach that recently moved there. On top of this being between the two coaches, they have to figure out how to bring two teams into one and to end the prejudice between the players. Though the plot seems rather dark from the above description, the movie does a great job balancing itself so that it is dramatic and you are able to understand what racism was like during that time period, but there is plenty of humor to cause you not to be upset during the entire film. This has got to be one of the best movies I have seen throughout my entire life (okay, I'm only fourteen, but give me a break). I saw this movie three times while at the movie theaters (my mom saw it five times; believe me, she isn't the type to see a movie while it's in theaters that many times), and you can bet that Remember the Titans will become a part of my video library when it comes out on video. This movie made me laugh, made me cry, and made me that much wiser about the world. When Remember the Titans comes out on video, please at least do yourself the favor of renting it. I can almost guarantee that you will absolutely enjoy this film. That's how good it is.
