Summary: The Best Story. Who Actually Cares If Its Accurate Anyways??
Review: The main reason I loved the movie Anastasia was because, unlike most animated movies i didn't find it the least bit corny. Some people might rage over how it wasn't accurate but the point of the movie is to entertain, not to torture the kids with a history lesson! I think that the music played an extreme part in the outcome because it expressed how determined Anya was to find her past and were great songs at the same time. I also loved how they showed with Dimitri's character how a persons feelings and personality can change. I thought it sent out a really good message. Some people may disagree by saying it was a bad movie. I have a suggestion: if you only saw the movie once, please see it again and judge it by that because believe it or not it Will have a different effect on you. The First time i saw it i actually really didnt like it.Second time 2 years later i actually cried at the end and I've been in love with it ever since. I think that teenagers will probably enjoy it better with a feeling that they can relate to it in a way. The soundtrack, to me is incredible, yet the song that really makes the movie to me is At The Beginning, by Donna Lewis and Richard Marx. If you really understand the movie and pay attention this song will really inspire you. The lyrics really explain what the movie was trying to tell you. At the end of the movie when it is synchronized perfectly with a kind of miniature flashback screenshow, it will bring tears to your eyes i promise you. Thanks for listening to my side of the story!

Summary: The movie was great!
Review: I loved this movie! Everything is great about it! When I first saw it, I thought it was a Disney movie! I espicially love it because Anya..Anastasia is not your everyday female. She doesn't need to be rescued, she rescues people! All in all, I loved this movie!

Summary: I just absolutely adored this video.
Review: This video was ordered by a friend of mine just a little while back and when she had brought it over for our feel and act like a kid weekend... well let me just say she and I both think it was in great condition when it got to her and it was also a very very good movie.

The movie is funny, sad, happy and just all in all I would give it 5 stars.

Summary: "Such a good cartoon you gotta watch it more than once."
Review: Simply peacy movie! (^.^)If you want to teach your children about the Romanov family, buy them a history book. In real life, anastasia died... So the makers of this movie dwelled upon "what if?". What if indeed? What if Anastasia made it though? What if she found love? Well if you want to see a really swell movie...this is for youuuuuuuu!!!!

Summary: Historically inaccurate but enjoyable
Review: Anastasia was completely inaccurate and I am one of the people that knows almost everything about the Romanovs. It was a very nice kids movie though, but if you know what really happened to Anastasia and here family and know the truth then it isn't as good.

Summary: a story with a great ending!
Review: this is a very good book. i think it was very suspensful and interesting. i definatly think it is worth 5 stars! this book has a twist of comedy and romance in it. it is a story of the lost princess anastasia, dimetri, a man that tries to help her find her royal grandmother falls in love with her and thinks he will not be able to love her because she is royalty. but she loves him too, and they end up together in the end! this is a really good book.plus she finds her grandma and gets the guy so i guess you could say her life was back to the way it should be!

Summary: Parellel universe
Review: Anastasia was a great movie. However, it wasn't accuarate, as so many have deigned to point out. It was very nice of them to take the time to tell us fans this because everyone knows that when you see a child's (although teenagers would like it more) film you expect perfect accuaracy. People who saw Disney's Hercules and Pocohantas know what I'm talking about.

Face it, there isn't one single animated movie out there that doesn't take the names and job descriptions from a story, and then make a totaly new story. These are still good movies.

On a totlaly different track, Rasputin is one of the few bad guys out there who is litteraly insane. He's also the only one I can think of who actually sold his soul. Think of the message he sends to kids: If you sell your soul, you will become very evil and twisted and fall apart.

Not only that, but Anya/Anastasia and Dimitri had to get to each other before they fell in love. This is unusual. They did not sing a sappy song and fall in love. All in all, I loved this movie. Tell yourself it took place in a parrellel universe and you'll be fine.

Summary: A lesson in Russian history, Valley Girl style
Review: It is unfortunate that a movie with the title of "Anastasia" could not be enjoyed by anyone with the slightest knowledge of Russian history. We bought the film so our daughter could learn something as well as enjoy a cartoon. I did not see anything I thought was accurate, from wedding rings on the wrong hands to a city called "St. Petersburg" years after it had been changed to Leningrad. In 1928, at the beginning of the First-Five-Year Plan, the people were not dancing in the squares hoping for the return of Anastasia.

A cartoon need not be a history lesson, but there was no reason for this kind of distortion. Perhaps the worst was the depiction of Rasputin as an enemy of the royal family. Rasputin, according to the Tsarina, was responsible for saving the life of their son on a number of occasions. And the threat against the Tsar's family, made by Rasputin in the film, did not happen at all. Rasputin told the Tsarina that he was going to be murdered. He said if it were done by a commoner, the royal family would be fine, but if he were to be killed by a member of the royal family, then the Tsar and his family would not survive. Rasputin was well-known for his accurate predictions, and this was just another.

If I found out the real Anastasia talked Valley Girl talk, I would throw out my Russian books!
