Rating: Summary: A must have Veggie Tales Review: This is the best in the Veggie Tales series on DVD. I have all the Veggie Tales DVDs, including the Silly Song (which I would also highly recommend), and I think the story script is the funniest. Although the stories are not based on any Biblical stories, the Biblical message is good and easy to understand. The only bad thing about the DVD is that it doesn't have subtitles. I've watched this DVD least 10 times with baby already. A must have. Enjoy...
Rating: Summary: Funniest Yet. Review: This Veggie Tales movie is the funniest one I have seen yet. I love the humor and of course the visual aspects are incredible. With Archibald taking over the show and pretty much turning into Masterpiece Theater, it's sure to please since things go wrong in his perfect world. Jr. Asparagus plays the singing Lyle, which I love, and you will also see Mr. Lunt as a girl in Omlet. This is a must have for all Veggie Tales lovers. If you haven't seen any, I would say this is the one to start off with viewing. Well done!
Rating: Summary: One of the best Review: This is just a great Veggie Tales movie. It is funny just as many of the Veggie Tales movies are and the music is really great. They try to mimic a typical "Musical" and they do a great job.
Rating: Summary: One of the best Review: We have almost every Veggie Tales video. This one and "Where is God When I'm s-s-Scared" are my kids' favorite. The music particularly seems to get them excited. I only wish I had waited for the DVD release!
Rating: Summary: Get 5 servings of veggies a day Review: Veggie Tales rock and this is a perfect example. This dvd is colorful, fast-paced, has singable songs and teaches a good lesson. My husband and I get tired of most of our kids' videos but we request this one if we get to pick!
Rating: Summary: VeggieTales - Lyle the Kindly Viking (DVD) Review: I have only had this DVD a short time and already got it memorized. My son (1 year old) will sit and watch this entire DVD and is esp. fond of the silly songs. I personally like him watching VeggieTales because they teach my child about God in a suttle way. The characters are the cutest.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant Review: As with all the other videos, extremely well done. Not as popular as King George with my 2 year old, but enjoyed greatly as certain values seep insidiously in ...
Rating: Summary: Lookin' better all the time Review: I hadn't seen Veggie Tales for many years, but when I finally picked this one out, my interest was immediately sparked again. This time around, the visuals in Veggie Tales are drastically improved, and my biggest gripe of these Christian videos has been gratefully fixed: the plot doesn't move so slow anymore. In fact, Lyle the Kindly Viking moves at such a smooth rate, I had lost all track of time. This particular video focuses on the idea of sharing, and tells this through two different stories (one of which is a hilarious rendition of Hamlet). Speaking of such, this movie also reverts back to what made the first Veggie Tales show such a hit: its humor is clever and witty enough that even adults will find a few things to laugh out loud about. -- A great animated feature with lots of great songs, good humor, and flows with enough variation and pace to keep one... anyone... interested.
Rating: Summary: This is okay Review: We had bought silly songs dvd for my son and thought it was just hilarious. So when we saw this we decided it to get this for him. It was very cute and nice. He did get a bit bored of it after awhile. However depending on your religion this may offend you. This video quotes bible versus and makes numerous mentions of god.
Rating: Summary: Quality Sound and Video for a quality movie. Review: I think this is the best of the Veggie Tails series, and I have seen all of them out so far. I was disappointed by the lack of slap stick humor in Ester, but when this came out it was back. More Veggie like than all the others I think, and I love it! My biggest complaint is that there are no subtitles on the DVD and I don't believe there is even closed caption, but the graphics are amazingly better, and the sound quality is unbelievable. I would definitely recommend this over the VHS. The only other thing I have to say against it is the commentary was a little shorter than I would have wished it to be, but it was still pretty long and lots of fun. I've watched the commentary just for fun! So that should tell you a lot!Veggie Tails at is probably the highest quality Christian movie series and even isn't doing badly in the secular circles. If you haven't seen any of the movies let me quickly explain them for you: These movies were 'probably' made for kids from infancy to eight or ten years old, but sometimes I wonder. I love these movies myself, and I'm getting old! (Come to think of it who's getting young? But sorry!) Anyway, these are slap stick comedy that's funny for all ages along with cute characters and stunning animation, and really great songs to top it off. Each movie also has a great message for kids and often adults. (I would like to comment though. These aren't pushy evangelistic films. These are messages that I feel any religion could agree with such as to not be selfish.) I think these are both excellent Christian and non-Christian entertainment.
