Description:
This half-hour episode shows how pride goes before the fall. While most youngsters hear this lesson from the pulpit or the recriminating lips of parents and teachers, Michelle gets to learn it the fun way: from astronaut penguins. The creators of VeggieTales continue to make moral values palatable to children as they head into outer space with a quartet of suited-up Antarctic birds led by a Elvis-haired, surfer-dude captain with a penchant for song. When they attempt to rescue a planet of light-bulb-headed aliens, the captain must learn to ask for help in order to keep a spaceship from crashing into them. Religious talk is kept to a minimum, until the series' traditional prayer at the end. By including a music video ("Space-Surfin' Superstar"), storyboards, concept art, and drawing lessons, this DVD offers far more entertainment and educational opportunities than just the story.
