Summary: The addiction to Thomas began here
Review: If you want your child to LOVE Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends, buy him this video and others. My son was only mildly interested in his new Thomas train set until I bought him a couple of videos and naturally, now he loves all the characters and wants to own every single engine!... The best of James is by far his favorite video, he asks for it constantly. Even the songs are getting him to sing on his own, something he only recently started doing (he's just 3). I have to admit, the narrative and stories are enticing and charming, the trains come to life somehow, even in the stop-gap animation (or whatever it's called). I've heard the videos narrated by Ringo Starr, George Carlin (of all people, he's great!) and Alec Baldwin. My son has kept himself glued to the TV with these stories, and he's wiping me out with his wishes for more and more characters from the toy store. don't buy if you don't want to buy more trains because these videos will get your kids! They love em!

Summary: James Is The Man!!!
Review: James is my son's favorite engine. Most likely becasue they are both stubborn and bull-headed! Anyway, I strongly recommend this dvd to anyone who loves the Thomas series. As a parent who often watches the shows with my children, the James stories are really some of the most enjoyable. As I stated previously, James hates to follow directions and this usually gets him in trouble; however, James always suffers the consequences of his actions. There's some pretty good lessons taught in these stories for kids of all ages (even me!). The dvd versions are great. No more rewinding VHS tapes over and over! The Thomas Series dvds are one of the best babysitters any parent could ask for. Add to cart now.

Review: My 22 month old son absolutely loves this dvd. He askes for "James, James" often. It is his favorite among the three we own: Best of Thomas, Make Someone Happy, and this one. My only reservation is the narration by Alec Baldwin. I find his voice annoying.

Summary: The BEST of James!!
Review: Of all the videos in my Thomas collection, I have to say this is my most favorite. The stories on this video are: A Proud Day for James, James in a Mess, Old Iron, No Joke for James, James Learns a Lesson, Percy, James, and the Fruitful Day, James Goes Buzz Buzz, Time for Trouble, and the music video Don't Judge a Book by It's Cover. Once again it sports George Carlin's superb narrations. I thought they should have put in the music video James the Really Splendind Engine instead of Don't Judge a Book by It's Cover until I realized this video was planned in 2001 and James the Really Splendind Engine wasn't seen until 2002. My favorite story is A Proud Day for James and No Joke for James is very funny. I don't have a least favorite.

Summary: THE BEST OF JAMES!!!
Review: This is all about James The Red Engine. Although he brags all the time about his red paint thinking it is the coolest. James is one splendid engine. He is also one silly engine. My favorite episode in The Best of James DVD is No Joke for James. I like the part when Thomas asked him if he can have Gordon's coaches and have Gordon his frieght cars. Well that was really rude although.

Summary: James Is My Favorite Character!
Review: This video has the best James stories on it. Yep, all of your favorite James stories are on here like No Jokes For James, James Goes Buzz Buzz, James In A Mess, and Old Iron. The only James stories that I liked that isn't on here was James & the Trouble with trees(that is my favorite James stories, even one of my favorite stories). It's to bad the music video "James the Really Splended Engine" wasn't made sooner because that would have been a the icing on the cake to this already great video, but "Don't Judge A Book Be It's Cover" is a great music video.
Anyway, I'd recommend this video if you want to see James at his best=^_^=

Summary: A Splendid Red Engine!!
Review: This video is devoted to the adventures of James, the engine with the shiny red paint. All of his adventures are included; from tricking Gordon so he could pull the express to having to be rescued by Edward, even though James thought of him as being "old iron". Sir Topham Hatt likes James because he is a multipurpose engine; he can pull coaches or freight. James manages to get himself into trouble on occasion, but he's still a very useful engine. The music on this tape is especially good, and the song "Don't Judge a Book by its Cover" gives a good moral message to children.

My son has grown to love all of the Thomas videos, and he likes this one very much. Although this tape is a little longer (about 50 minutes) than the others, he can still watch the whole thing in one sitting. Pick up this wonderful video and enjoy some quality time with your children.
