Summary: Nick Park can work clay MIRACLES!
Review: Wallace and Gromit are a lovable pair, and their adventures are amazing... I only wish the "movies" were longer. No one questions the odd situations that occur in these adventures because they are laughing the entire time! Buy this DVD and you will NOT be disappointed! :)

Summary: Crackin' Good!
Review: For those of you who aren't familiar with this duo, you don't know what you're missing! These have got to be some of the most creative and fun to watch animations ever made. They are so full of references, you'll watch them again and again to discover what new thing you'll see. The attention to detail is absolutely incredible and the plotline is interesting enough for grown-ups to enjoy just as much as kids (maybe more). It's fun to have this on DVD; my husband watched the part in The Wrong Trousers where Gromit follows the penguin to see what he's up to about a dozen times. I have watched all of them several times, and still find them just as interesting. Of course, having a background, however small, in British humor and style will help. I admit, I would have loved to see more behind-the-scenes footage - but I realize they can't give away all their secrets!

Summary: Very nice DVD
Review: I like all three shows and the DVD quality is quite nice. Some of the extras are hilarious but it could have used more material.

Summary: A Grand Collection!
Review: If you are W&G fans, give your VHS set (I know you have one!) to a friend and buy this DVD! Excellent special features give you insight into the development of these characters and the facinating process that brought them to the screen. Interesting backstories too! (didn't realize W&G were as big as the Beetles in the UK and Japan!) The DVD stop action is a crackin good way to see "how they did that"! Put down that cheese and run out to buy this DVD!

Summary: (almost) 3 oscar shorts...
Review: Wonderful films...slight error in the editorial review. All three movies were nominated for best animated short.

"The Wrong Trousers" and "A Close Shave" both won, although "A Close Shave" was Park's THIRD oscar, not his second.

"A Grand Day Out" lost the oscar to another short film, "Creature Comforts" whose director was also Nick Park!

Summary: Incredibly funny, Incredibly amazing.
Review: So many people have said everything that needs to be said. The incredible adventures of Wallace and Grommit are all incredibly funny and amazing. As funny as it is The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave still top Nick Parks full length feature Chicken Run. If you have any doubts as to how good these films are, the Internet Movie Database had a list of its best ranked films of all time. Of all the movies in the history of film do you know what was the number one film two years ago? It was the Wrong Trousers! You won't find it there now because they dropped it as it wasn't a full length feature. But if you check the ratings it would still be in the top twenty. Don't let your life go by without seeing these films.

Summary: cracking good video
Review: i do not always watch animation features but this one created by nick park was recommended to me by a friend. after watching all three on video, i was happy to hear that a dvd collection would come out with all three features.

the stories are lighthearted yet humorous. the people responsible for "wallace and grommit" have a great deal of patience and obviously love what they do. it shows in the detail and quality of the animation.

upon receiving this dvd, i was amazed to find the additional "making of" features and commentary included with the disc. it is informative to see how the features were conceived and finally produced. there are some funny moments when you watch the early sketches and animations of nick park way before wallace and grommit were ever conceived.

upon finishing this dvd, i recommend this to those who haven't already been introduced to these wonderful characters or would like to find a nice gift for those young-at-heart or admirers of animation. i look forward to seeing this studio's other works available now and in the future.

Summary: Aardman does it again..
Review: Being a big fan of any aardman animation, I of course bought this dvd to make sure I have all 3 wallace and gromit adventures on 1 dvd. Not only do you get all 3 shorts, but also all sort of behind the scenes goodies and talks from Nick Park himself.

For those who dont know much about Aardman, you also get some background information of this great studio, along with some of Nick's early tests of wallace and gromit and other of his early shorts.

If you are a Wallace and Gromit fan.. this is a DEFINITE BUY for your collection!

Summary: No Cheese, Gromit.
Review: The WALLACE & GROMIT shorts have accomplished something very few other franchises can claim. They are as popular with cult-clasping-college students as they are with kindergarten children. For the First episode creator Nick Park needed an excuse to get a man and his dog to the moon... A GRAND DAY OUT was the result. The episode is quaint and filled with great character and humor. The second, and greatest to date, THE WRONG TROUSERS introduces an evil penguin to the mix. Thats right, an evil penguin. The last episode, A CLOSE SHAVE, is an awesome sequel but suffers from the same thing that haunts many live action sequels. It is given a bigger budget and more time is spent on the mechanics of the story than the human side. All three are laugh-out-loud. And coming in short of 30 minutes, they can easily be taken in in one sitting and you won't feel guilty for not getting your bank book balanced. This is the most recent DVD release and includes interesting making of material, commentary by creator Nick Park, and even 4 early animations. Great for the entire family...
