Rating: Summary: I didn't think I'd enjoy it but I did!!!! Review: I never was much of a Scooby-Doo fan, mostly because I thought the episode formulas got preditcable and there were never any real monsters (something mentioned in the beginning of the movie). I could hardly believe how great this new movie was! The animation has been modernized and we get better camera angles on our heroes; they even end up in real danger a few times! The story is well-written, and the soundtrack is great. Definitely a winner.
Rating: Summary: Real Monsters? Duh. Review: By using "real" monsters, this movie completely misunderstands the legacy of Scooby Doo that made it such a classic. It is a sad but unsurprising commentary on the anti-rational times we live in that so many reviewers here applauded that decision. Mulder beats Sculley every time--it's so much easier not to look for real answers to unexplained phenomena. My three-year-old loves Scooby Doo but won't be watching this farce.
Rating: Summary: Too scary for my two year old, but entertaining for me Review: They deal with real monsters for a change and Scooby spends too much time eating instead of scooping around. The monsters were too real for my young one. I enjoyed the movie, but will hide it from my child for at least two years.
Rating: Summary: Not the original Scooby-Doo, Where are You? Review: This is the worst Scooby-Doo movie that I have ever watched. The original "Scooby-Doo, Where are You?" series was based upon Scooby and his friends finding a logical explanation as to why there were mysterious situations occurring. This new movie drastically departs from this, and is very dissapointing. The plot revolves only around real ghosts, monsters, witchcraft and the supernatural. I can't believe that parents find this an appropriate movie for young children. I wish I could give this movie a zero.
Rating: Summary: scary and funny at the same time Review: scooby-doo is the funniest dog it's about time they came out with a video. well this is the best movie i've ever seen. i gave it five stars because it's scary and funny at the same time.
Rating: Summary: The true essence of a classic Review: Scooby Doo on Zombie Island brings all the things we love about the old gang into a context that will be appreciated by old and new fans alike. Updating the music was a great trick, I've been searching for a soundtrack but evidently there isn't one. How I'd LOVE to have one though! As far as the story itself goes, big pat on the back to the writers. A new twist on a tried and true formula, the story was both fresh and reminiscient. They even managed to poke fun at all the things the old show was most known for--the supposed relationship between Fred & Daphne, the enormous appetite of our two favorite slobs, Scooby and Shaggy, and super-serious-sleuth Velma. I only hope this is a sign of MORE to come! Scooby Mania is growing exponentially!
Rating: Summary: We finally find out how the gang grew up! Review: Zombie Island is a comedy-filled movie in the style of the old Scooby-Doo Where Are You? cartoon. It's great to see that most of the gang has moved on to "real" jobs, but that Scooby and Shaggy will never change. This movie is already a classic in my Scooby-Doo collection!
Rating: Summary: The best I've seen in a long time Review: I loved this movie on so many scales. The story and characters were brought into the 90's but still stayed true to themselves. I missed the old voices, but that was quickly forgotten as I enjoyed them stumbling onto a mystery and watched them solve it. This is a must see for any Scooby-Doo fan, both new and long timers.
Rating: Summary: Best Scooby-Doo Movie Yet! Review: My kids can't get by one day without watching this movie at LEAST once! I even love to watch it too! The music's awesome and my kids know the words by heart.
Rating: Summary: Easily the greatest of the Scooby Doo movie Series Review: The plot is genious, the animation is smooth, the sound effects are impressive, and the chase themes are decent. This is a great conclusion to the Scooby Doo series. The ending surprised even me!
