Rating: Summary: Nice songs, but a short running time Review: I bought this DVD to have a first look on the new "Brother Bear"-Songs. (In Germany the movie will start in march.) They're really nice and you can find the first song of the new animated feature "Lion King 1 1/2. This sounds and look really good. The DVD includes also "Dance A long Songs", but the choreography is perhaps somthing for children. Also the games you can play with your remote control. This DVD is really nice, funny and with wonderful songs from "Brother Bear" incl. a cinema-ticket. But the running time is very short.
Rating: Summary: Very good, but lacking some Review: I got this DVD to refresh my memory of some of the songs and scenes from "Brother Bear", as it was the only way to get it without going to a public theatre, other than the soundtrack. I at first thought the Dance-Along sounded interesting, but once I realized it was happy peppy Disney kids jumping around I kind of lost interest in it. I did watch the dance-along for "On My Way", although it was only those same kids running around in circles, and from which I learned no new so-called 'dance moves' at all. The non-Brother Bear songs aren't as interesting (Well, the Lion King 1 1/2 might be, but I haven't watched it yet), but of course that's the Sing-Along way, compiling songs which don't have anything to do with each other. I hope they improve them someday. I would have really enjoyed "Great Spirits", "Transformation" and "No Way Out" (that last one probably would spoil the movie too much, though).
Rating: Summary: SING ALONG BROTHER BEAR Review: I HAVE AN AUTISTIC CHILD THAT FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS DVD. HE IS AT THE STAGE WHERE MUSIC OPENS DOORS TO LEARNING FOR HIM. HE CAN EASILY FOLLOW ALONG WITH THE WORDS. TO SEE HIM LAUGHING, DANCING AND SINGING ALONG WAS SOMETHING WE DID NOT EXPECT, BUT ARE THRILLED BY. THE SONGS ARE UP TEMPO AND FUN FOR EVERYONE!!! WE RECOMMEND IT 100X OVER.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good BUT WHERE DOES IT STOP? Review: I watched this in music class recently. This was interesting but I don't know where it stops. The songs I heard were On My Way from 2003's Brother Bear,Try Again from 2001's 101 Dalmations 2:Patch's London Adventures,Go The Distance from 1997's Hercules,Following the Leader from 1953's Peter Pan and I'm Still Here from 2002's Treasure Planet. The parts before the songs didn't have Mickey and Goofy and Minnie and Donald.Instead, they had mooses(although i like mooses). The i'm still here segmnt just went on forever.i never got to see the rest after that.I don't know why that is.
Rating: Summary: Good DVD Review: This DVD was good, but it suffers the same problem as "Home on the Range Sing-along"-the kids showing off for the camera in the so-called "Dance Along".Once again,I suggest you skip the dance-along part if you don't want to see kids hamming it up and grinning stupidly at the camera while just stepping from side to side over and over again.
The only really fun parts of this DVD were the Sing-Alongs themselves and the karaoke.
Rating: Summary: Very entertaining Review: This is my 2 year olds favorite DVD. She asks for it daily and it's been over a month now. I don't know what it is about the song "On My Way" but both my 2 and 4 year old love it and sing the song even when the DVD isn't playing.
