Rating: Summary: This movie bites!!! Review: Whatever you do, please don't buy this movie
Rating: Summary: Why God, Why? Review: When I finally saw this movie, I at least had sufficient warning it would be terrible (in fact, it was leaked that it would have musical numbers and low-budget animation before the start of production!) This movie claims to be a sequel to the excellent Secret Of NIMH but instead looks and feels like a Rescue Rangers reject. Insipid, crappy and thoroughly cheap, It shows just how extremely desperate MGM really is to gain a share of the lucrative kidvid market.
Rating: Summary: I am in awe. Review: Why am I awed? Because this movie was so... incredibly bad that it makes my stomach turn. I mean, you have to go out of your way to make such a bad film! I do believe they must've been TRYING to make a bad movie! This movie was literally ten levels of garbage. Timmy would've been better off if he died.
Rating: Summary: A dud of a sequel! Review: Why oh why would they trash such a beloved animated classic of the 80's? WHY! This one deals with Timmy Brisby all grown up and must fight against his evil brother Martin who wants to take over the world. A pointless and trashy sequel with bad songs and bad animation, this was truly not a real sequel. I happen to be writing a script and a net Fanfiction story for a " Jenner Vs. Haggard" movie which is a " Secret of NIMH/ Last Unicorn" crossover movie which will be the REAL continution to " NIMH", which will feature the characters from both movies meeting each other and seeing the two villains from both flicks fight each other until one is victorious. The only good points of this movie are a full grown Theresa Brisby and Jenny who are both hot toon girl mice. Avoid this puppy like the pleague and just read my " Jenner Vs. Haggard" Story instead when it comes to "Animated Lust.Com"
Rating: Summary: This degrades the name Secret of nimh Review: words cannot describe how much i loathe this film. its a major dissapointment compared to the first one. i really think the writers of this thought the origianl was 'too dark and scary' for the kids today. excuse me! how old were biggest part of you Nimh 1 lovers when you first watched the first film, i was atleast 5! the characters break out into song every 5 minutes into the film *hiss* this is not a sequal, its more of a 'what if' story. the rats are stealing! the reason they went to thorn valley was so they could stop that. evil martins song was majorly dissapointing, when i first watched it and realised martin was the baddy not to mention there was song's in it, i was thinking 'ho maybe it wont be all that bad, the villains songs are mostly really great' i certainly got that wrong, it is so pathetic compared to Rasputins song from Anastasia, now i know theres some out there that may dislike that (i dunno how Don Bluth was part of that creation too). but that is one of my favourite songs. okay sorry but people who think the first one was boring because timothy was sick well 'oh dear what a crying shame, its the end of the world' sure but he was suffering from a real illness but as it was said in the film you can die from it. Jim henson died from it for crying out loud. BUT sickness can be treated and can be recovered from. experimentation is worse. if they were abit more realistic martin could have ended up with an ear on his back, i had that idea and would have loved to see that. XD. and that really happened to a real mouse, so nobody moan at me for saying thats not real.anyway i was so very dissapointed in this film as you can obviously tell. so.. im going to work on my own sequal. hey any of you nimh 2 haters contact me, i'd like to converse with fellow dislikers.
Rating: Summary: Better than the original! 10 stars! Review: Wow, how can so many people not see how great this film is? The first film was dark and unhappy and people (well rats) died. This film makes up for that and there are great musical numbers and some of the characters even fall in love--I don't want to spoil it, but some of the main characters take part in an absolutely splendid romance! In the first film the best they could do is suggest that maybe some time there might be a romance, but they never get around to it. Justin even looks happy when he sees Brisby get caught--what kind of romance is that? No, NIMH 2 won't play those sort of games with your head. This is a true-blue American film with a proper beginning, middle and an end, with heroes you can believe and relate to! Nimh 2 also conveys a message to young people about how they need to be determined and to follow there dreams. I don't think the first film even had a message. Buy this one now before NIMH 3 comes out so you'll be ready for the best of the trillogy!
