Rating: Summary: Good, clean fun Review: My wife and I are very protective of our children (1-5 years old), and we don't let them watch many movies--in fact, even our oldest child has only seen about a dozen movies all the way through. But this Rolie Polie Olie movie, like its predecessor, was not only very decent, but also actively taught positive values, like the goodness of life and love of family. Originally a two-day rental from the video store, this is being added to our collection ASAP.
Rating: Summary: groovy, wonderful, fun for everyone Review: Our family loves "Olie Olie" as my three year old calls him. The tv show, the movies, we love them all. So its probably unfair of us to write a review, but here goes: Baby Bot Chase is great. Its just great family stuff. The clear sense of family is something that my wife and I love, and we think its the thing our kids love best, too, even if they can't articulate it. Cootchie and Coo are great new additions to the cast! Aand as always, the best, most imaginative animation anywhere
Rating: Summary: Where is Pappy? Review: Our household loves Rolie Polie Olie. We ran right out on June 3, 2003 to purchase this dvd. What a disappointment when we sat and watched this film about "Family frolicking fun" and Pappy was no where in the entire movie!!! Pappy's name was not even mentioned. I'm sorry, but Rolie Polie Olie without Pappy is like popcorn without butter.
Rating: Summary: Our family loved it!! Review: This is good, wholesome family entertainment. As soon as the movie ended, my 4 year old daughter wanted to watch it again. Her favorite part was the diaper changing machine, she wishes that our house had one so she could change her brothers diaper. My favorite character was the Elvis look alike Uncle. This movie had something for everyone, good music, fun characters and interesting visuals. I highly recommend this movie for any family. The baby bots are adorable.
Rating: Summary: alas, very disappointing Review: We love Rolie Polie Olie, but this movie is not up to par. Turning Gloomius Maximus into a good guy was a fine ending for Defender of Fun. Including him -- with a different accent badly done by a different and less good actor -- as part of the plotline in this one was a saccharine mistake. The adults were gritting their teeth throughout, not the case with the others. Here's hoping Springy-Time Fun is good!
