Rating: Summary: Hilarious! Review: Although we have a VeggieTales music CD, this is the first VeggieTales video that I have bought. I got it for our 8-month-old son, but as my husband pointed out, I got more of a kick out of the video than the baby did! This retelling of the Biblical story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho contains delightful computer animation (although the sheep perhaps need a bit more work), catchy songs, and humor that adults can appreciate. I particularly enjoyed the obnoxious French peas on the Jericho wall - an apparent reference to the annoying Frenchman in _Monty Python and the Holy Grail_. The show does have some anachronisms - such as a pre-Christian Israelite pining for a taco and pintos and cheese - but the show is quite enjoyable. I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: DVD better than video! Review: Big Idea is on a roll and really gets it right when it comes to their DVD's. If you are thinking that this is just a cheap transfer from the video, think again! The picture is crisp and sharp and the 5.1 surround sound mix adds a new dimension to this VeggieTales classic! The extras and Easter Eggs are well done, but not overly long so parents can watch these with their kids without the kids losing interest. This is also one DVD where you can't miss the feature commentary! Also, just try to sing along with "Song of the Cebu"! My kids had practically worn out the VHS tape, and now watching it on DVD is like seeing this for the first time. I look forward to ALL of the VeggieTales being released on DVD! Good job BIG IDEA! Funniest moment: Josh (Larry) "falling to the ground in reverence." Most poigniant moment: Jr. Asparagus' speach to the Israelites convincing them to do what God asks of them.

Rating: Summary: Larry the Cucumber does it again! Review: Even though this movie was intended for children, there are a great deal of adults out there that love Veggie Tales.Larry the Cucumber (as Josh) gives a stunning performance as he leads the march around Jerico. The French Peas were great as they dropped grape slushies on the heads of Larry & Co. This is a video that you should definately get for your kids. (or yourself)

Rating: Summary: An excellent teaching on Obedience....also lots of fun. Review: I have a 23-month old son who simply enjoys the VeggieTales videos and we have collected all except one so far. Josh and the Big Wall is one of my personal favorites. It clearly shows how our disobedience can lead to disappointments, but if we follow God's ordained plans for our lives, the rewards are total and complete. It is great learning experience for "children" of all ages; Jean-Claude & Phillipe (the French Peas) are just delightful and Larry's Silly Song - Song of the Cebu - will have you singing even at the office. Marvelous job BIG IDEA productions.
Rating: Summary: Who woulda thought that talking vegetables could teach us? Review: I have to echo the other customers' reviews here: this hilariously animated creation can make anyone laugh themselves into wisdom! As the story teaches us, it isn't easy to do the right thing when we think our way is better than God's. Being reminded by Junior Asparagus' song, "...we know that He will take care of us," is a wonderful response to the young boy who wrote a letter to the Veggies for advice on what he should do to the boy who hit him. And if you haven't had a good, tear-filled laugh lately, I recommend you check out Larry's "multi-media presentation" about a boy and his 3 cebu. And a hippo. And Larry at a bull fight. And at the airport. And with his aunt. And with Bob at Sea World... :-)
Rating: Summary: This Movie is Doper Than A Mug!!! Review: I just love this movie. It retells the story of Joshua and the wall of Jarecho in a way that children, even adults, can easily understand it. The songs, characters, and the theme of this movie are bound to entertain everyone! I strongly suggest that you buy this video!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Great video but not my favorite Veggie Tales Review: I love all of the Veggie Tales but this one is not my favorite. It is a great way of telling the story of Josh. In addition, it has one of my favorite songs, "Keep walking". However, my kids prefer some of the other videos more.
