Rating: Summary: Don't knock it Review: The first time I watched this movie, I thought it was the dumbest thing in the world. Then, as I watched it again (Don't ask why I watched it again, it's a long story) It started growing on me. So, actually, it's pretty good. (Kari was SO CUTE as a baby! Sorry, too much Halloween candy)
Rating: Summary: Barely even the same movie(s) Review: Ther are so many things I want to say about this movie, but I'm not sure where to start. Well, I recently had the pleasure of being able to see the FULL third movie (with subtitles!), which means I actually know what was going on in the third part of the American movie. I'm not going to bother talking about the first two parts/movies, since very little was cut from them (like 10 minutes, total). However, the third movie was COMPLETELY changed. Absolutely nothing is the same in the american version. I'll just list the big changes...1.In the original, Wallace (Willis) lives in NYC, not Colorado. 2.Chocomon kidnaps the older kids. He does this because he's looking for Wallace; he doesn't understand that Wallace is older now, and not a little kid. He then starts making the kids get younger and younger. This entire subplot (and the real reason that Daisuke (Davis), Miyako (Yolei), and Iori (Cody) even go to the US) was cut out. 3.Everytime Wallace uses a phone, he's talking to his Mom. 4.Wallace speaks both english and japanese. 5.You know how the train Takeru and Hikari are on is empty? Well, when that weird light-flash thing happens, Chocomon steals all the passengers (except Takeru and Hikari, their digivices save them), and takes them to where he has all the older chosen children (digidestined). 6. The scene where Daisuke cries is not funny at all in the original. Its SAD. Basically, Daisuke is crying because he understands what Wallace is going through and how much pain he's in. He also doesn't recover quite as quick (its pretty fast, but not as stupid). Then his goggles break because he's mad that Wallace likes Miyako's face better than his. ^-^;; That part is funny. Also, the way this scene starts is different. It does not take place right after they arrive in Colorado. It takes place in the middle of the night. 7.You know how during the big fight scene the colors go all out of whack and the kids start getting younger? And there's no explantion? Well, what happens is that Chocomon takes them to his dimension where he has all the people he's kidnapped, and now they're starting to get younger like the older kids. 8.What was up with the "time to heal" ...? Where in the heck did that come from? 9.Oh yeah, Chocomon has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Diaboromon. NOTHING. 10.You know how Rapidmon and Mangamon go inside of Chocomon? Well, its not voluntary. He eats them. 11.Remember how Chocomon was pointing to his heart, where the virus was? Well, in the original, he's telling them to kill him, not show them where it hurts. 12.The only thing Chocomon ever says is Wallace's name. He never says "go back". 13.Cherubimon (Kerpymon) never talks. The part where he dies and disintigrates is SILENT. 14. Daisuke doesn't call Hikari "his girl". Actually, he's less stupid and annoying in general in the original. 15.Wallace's japanese voice isn't painful to listen to. Neither is Daisuke's (as much as I adore Brian Donovan, Davis's voice HURTS O_O). 16.They changed some Digimon names as well. Holydramon (Magnadramon), Cherubimon (Kerpymon), Wendigomon (Endigomon), and Chocomon (Kokomon). The third movie was shorttened because they didn't have a big enough budget to make a full 2 hour film. Which, in my opinion, means they should have made them straight to video releases, or TV specials. But they were so bent on making a feature film that they decided to play God in an incredibly unholy way. Well, I hope that helps clear up all the confusing stuff. I have the full length third Japanese movie (fansubbed!) on my comp as an AVI file,... too. Oh yeah...I'd like to mention how they cut out Taichi and Hikari's Dad coming home drunk in the first part, lol.

Rating: Summary: The Digimon movie really needs a digivolve! Review: After i began to know the Digimon universe last year, i eagerly awaited the cinema movie, that was'nt released in the danish cinemas at all, but as the autumn came, i bought 'Digimon The Movie' on video, and it's not as good as the TV-shows. Digimon is about a group of kids, and their Digimon's that can evolve into tougher Digimon's, while they are fighting with bad Digimon viruses. If you are Digimon fan, and missed the Digimon movie, you don't have missed anything at all, i hope they are making a better sequel!
Rating: Summary: One movie? I thought it was three Review: I was in two minds as to wheather to give this movie 2 stars or 3. It is atually pretty entertaining, with some pretty good humor and good monster animation. The character animation is a bit odd- they all look a bit wobbly round the edges- that is, the character design is not a bold and clearly defined as in the series. Overall, it was visually and narritively interesting. However, as the review title may suggest, this is not one movie. Originally in Japan, 3 films were released- a short 20 minute flashback sequence and two full length features. For that reason, I'm giving this 2 stars- I hate it when the West rewrites scripts and cuts shows or movies to RIBBONS, and although I haven't seen the originals you can bet your bottom dollar there's been alot removed.
