Summary: Surprisingly good
Review: I wasn't expecting much from this movie, I didn't even catch it until it appeared at the second run theater at my school. It actually turned out to be a great movie. Vin Diesel(Saving Private Ryan, Boiler Room) put in a great performance, very convincing, as does the rest of the supporting cast. Keeps you on the edge of your seat through most of the movie, and I highly recommend it.

Summary: The Sci-Fi movie of the Century
Review: I think the movie was great. It was full of action.Ladies this is a movie you'll like.Having two great lookings guys in it.Vin Diesel who plays the character of Richard B. Riddick. He plays very well for a character that is a convict who is bad to the bone. But there is a little thing to him that make a woman just wanna scream.Maybe because he has a sexy body. The aliens in the movie are very cool.Bravo to whoever designed these creatures of the dark. This movie will keep you at the egde of your seat.I think this is defintly a movie i'll buy and hopefully u would too.

Summary: Not your run of the mill horror flick
Review: For a horror movie, the director does an excellent job of setting the scene for character conflict, action and overall plot development. Don't get me wrong, it isn't a masterpiece, but when you add the visual content, this movie becomes a clut flick... And even if you don't agree with my critique of the plot, just the imagery and flow of the movie alone make it a must see. Best seen in Dolby Digital surround with a large screen. If you watch it on your 15" kitchen television with no additional speakers, you'll ruin the movie completely.

Summary: Sci-Fi at its best
Review: This movie rocks! If you like sci-fi, you'll LOVE this. Vin Diesel, an excellent writer and director himself, makes a wonderful big-screen acting debut here that puts other his other big hits (i.e. Boiler Room) to shame. His dymanic character Riddick is a convict who surprises everyone in this movie, even himself, of the depths of human compassion. Unlike other people, I thought the plot was excellent, the acting exceptional, and you've got to love the special effects. Two thumbs up!

Summary: SEE THIS MOVIE! You won't regret it!
Review: This was one of the best sci-fi thrillers I have ever seen! It had a lot of action and the anticipation of the unknown really kept me into the movie. I would buy this DVD in a heartbeat! Excellent choice!

Summary: Pitch Black is the Schiznit
Review: I knew from the first time I viewed the trailer to this film, that I would like it. I saw this film three times in the theater. This film cost about $20 million to make and its better than those expensive hollywood films like Alien Resurection and MIB. David Twohy is the man. I knew this from watching The Arrival. Vin Diesel plays the coolest bad-guy ever. Who can forget those eyes! They story was good, the cinematography was out of this world. Not the mention the rest of the all-star cast. Keith David whom was in Platoon, also the voice of the Spawn character. The cop whom was in Good Will Hunting and Higher Learning. I can't wait to own this film and I'm sure I will watch it on a daily basis.

Summary: Pitch Black, great sci-fi for the true sci-fi fan
Review: After paying 8$ to be disapointed by Supernova a few short months before pitch black graced the big screen, I felt that the year 2000 was going to be filled with empty, super-flashy fx, bad acting and down right diluted sci-fi. Pitch Black was refreshing and made me look forward to the comming releases in 2000 with renewed vigor, it was an exciting, fast pased thriller, that kept you on the edge of your seat, waiting for the next creature to come out of no where. Though it has many elements that make you feel like you are watching another Aliens movie, it is still able to make your skin crawl and make you long for the next sceene. It even had a nice plot twist to boot. To any sci-fi fan I recommend this film for your collection.

Summary: Great!
Review: A must for every true sci-fi lover. Very different form the usual Hollywood stuff. Expect lots of excitement.

Summary: A frantic, frightening, and original movie
Review: While some movies such as Event Horizon and Lost in Space rely on gore, special effects, and/or the movie industry's once a TV show now a movie formula, Pitch Black uses a fresh cast and an original plot to set itself apart from other movies in the same genre.

Vin Diesel's progress through the movie from criminal to humanitarian is more than believable. I like this movie because the cast makes it believable, the plot is original, and the (cgi) special effects are more subtle than other movies that seem to rely on them almost completely.
