Summary: Awesome Alien!
Review: When I first saw predator my dad was watching it on T.V.(sensored). I saw when the predator came out of the water chasing Dutch(Arnold). I asked my dad what the HECK it that thing! He told me about the movie and I decided to watch it. It was pretty entertaining(aka scary, i lv scary movies!) When Dutch faced off with the predator I didn't know what he looked like with that mask off. When it(the predator)took off it's mask, I screamed,"Yikes! He's UGLY!" Personally he was UGLY! (I liked him better with his mask on!) When Dutch finally killed the predator, it set off some weird beeping devise.I knew that immediately that it was a self-destruct devise.(All good aliens have a self destruct devise. Over all the movie was great. I just wish that I could have seen more of the predator.

Summary: One of Arnolds best.
Review: I saw this at the theatre knowing nothing about it. I didn't see the trailers. So for me I was thinking that it really was a story about the rescue of some soldiers and the mystery surrounding their disappearance.

Believe me, when the movie turned, that turn made it all the more enjoyable in a way that can't be repeated. Even so, this is a movie that passed the "Repeat Viewing" test.

Summary: Great Movie/Questionable Quality
Review: This is a great movie, certainly the best of Schwarzenegger's career. They did a good job with the audio on the new release with the 5.1 DTS, however the video transfer could use a lot of help. It comes and goes, there are some sections of the movie that look OK, and others that just look bad. I guess this will give them another future release to sell that will be digitally remastered.

Summary: Good Sci-Fi Action Movie, But needs that Something
Review: Arnold Schwarzenegger is good at this sci-fi action thing, isn't he. Terminator, Terminator 2, and Predator!! Predator is very well done, and nicely directed. With good acting, a good plot, and kick-butt action, how could it get any better? But wait, I gave it a four stars, and not a five. Why? Because it needs that little magic, that little something that made Terminator 2, and the Matrix five stars. I don't know what that little something is, but it needs it.

Predator is kind of like the ground vesion of Alien, but with a lot more action. Schwarzenegger and his men go into a latin-americian jungle to "rescue" some men. But that was a BS story fed to Arnold so he would go in there. It was really to stop a major invasion. But they meet a little problem on the way to the chopper. Some alien who likes to collect human skulls. So this alien kills Schwarzenegger's men, one by one, in cool action scenes, until all the men are dead except for Schwarzenegger. So Arnold thinks up this plan to kill the alien, the ending fight between the "Predator" and Arnold is cool, but I won't give it away. The fight scene were Arnold and his men attacks the village, is very cool. All in all, it is a cool sci-fi action/thriller, that deserves the four stars, but it need something more.

I liked it because of three things: One Arnie is in it, Two Apollo Creed is in it so that kicks your moms A...., and last but not least it is pretty cool.
PARENTAL WARNING: THERE IS STRONG LANGUAGE AND SOME NASTY VIOLENCE

Summary: An almost perfect movie
Review: I totally love this film. Other than the huge shootout that an elite force of handpicked men initiate inside a terrorist camp somewhere in South America, this movie was great for it's elements of horror. The Missionaries were assigned to locate and ambush a camp and rescue some Americans that the CIA presumed were being kept there as prisoners. This simple plot totally turns into another lane when they find the American crew they were sent to rescue hanging from their feet SKINLESS before ever REACHING the camp. They naturally assume that they were killed by the people they were sent in to ambush, but you...the viewer will think otherwise, because you don't only see through the eyes of the 6 or 7 missionaries, but through the eyes of something else that has been lurking above them in the trees, following their every footstep as they seek out the Gorilla Camp. It seems to study them - their language, the way they laugh, and...even plays around with discarded objects that they once held in their hands. So, whatever this thing is that makes these very...ALIEN sounds...obviously has a certain degree of intelligence. So, you fear this creature to no end, especially when you learn that not even a chaingun kills it and that if it ever gets hold of you, that you just might be next in line to be striped from YOUR skin. And it's ironic that we should fear this colossal beast, since we learn in mid section of the movie that..it's no different than us, shedding animals of THEIR skin, and mounting THEIR heads on OUR walls. So, this film has a very commendable message that I think a lot of people overlook. And as for it being an all guy movie. My mother wanted me to see it when I was a boy, because of it's moral, and she first fell in love with it when a female friend of hers first introduced it to HER. And to this day it is her all time favorite movie. Unlike the Alien series, Predator actually has a lesson to teach...and you get to be witness of tons of violence and mayhem along the way. It's not really that gory as people say it is (I wish it was). Compared to Day of the Dead or Apocalypse Now or Natural Born Killers or THE THING, this movie is for children. A must have in every boy's room. The only flaw that this movie has...is that in the end, when you see the creature in it's entirety, I loose interest. I wish it kept that element of horror. I was under the impression that it was something more sinister, and it was just such a kick in the face to discover it looked like the elephant man with a mouthful of crab-claws.

Predator 2: no purpose to that movie whatsoever, unless you are stimulated by non-stop violence. My Mommy has a warm spot for that one too, but in my opinion, it's a no brainer, and the violence is kinda fakey. Like a cop would pull up to a horde of gang members firing automatics and not get shot...you know what I mean? Only in the movies.

Summary: Good solid Sci-fi thirller
Review: One of Arnold's better movies. The Predator is defenitly one of the better movie monsters of all time. There is a lot of corny dialogue in the begining which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The DVD has a good amount of extras and the picture and sound quaility is good. A little known fact though, the original predator was actually played by Jean-Claude Van Damme. You can tell the difference between the preadtor in the begining of the movie and the end. The director wanted there between a considerable difference between the predator and Arnold.

Summary: I'm gonna have me some fun..I'm gonna have me some fun..
Review: Ahh, Predator. This film really has no right to exist, let alone be as excellent as it is. The plot, where an elite commando force on a "rescue" mission is set upon by a light-bending alien superpredator to their immense regret, is the stuff of C+ Dolph Lundgren fare, yet somehow it all comes together perfectly. Good acting, great action, and downright claustrophobic suspense keep the plot buzzing right along. This movie could be 90 minutes long, it could be 160..I really don't know, it's so easy to get swept up in it. The special effects are as great today as they were when the film first came out, and are sharp and crisp on the DVD. Who would have thought infrared vision would allow for such a range of effects? From the first time we see the predator's huge paw as it picks up the cooling, almost stylized form of a dead scorpion, to the blood-red haze surrounding Arnold as the beast batters him into submission, our own world becomes as alien and terrifying as the creature inhabiting it. The film starts as a buddy flick, turns into "Commando" and then segues neatly into "Alien" without any loss of purpose or momentum. In addition to the innumerable classic one-liners you'll be repeating for the rest of the day ("I ain't got time to bleed," "Here we are again, bro..same kinda moon, same kinda jungle..," "Ol' Painless is waitin'") each character has their due. Mac (played by Bill Duke) does a wonderful turn as the mournful buddy of Jesse "The Governor" Ventura, madly murmuring to himself as he chases the Predator into the jungle the same lyrics to the rock music that so triumphantly accompanies them into the jungle in the first place. Carl Weathers does a good job as a CIA man of mixed loyalties, and of course Arnold is perfectly cast as Dutch, the team leader. This is a guy flick, let's not pretend otherwise, but it is not a dumb guy flick (either the guy, or the flick). Check it out.
