Summary: A GREAT MOVIE
Review: This movie had everything you could possibly ask for. It has action, adventure, romance, and laughs. The acting and special effects were great! This movie is definately a keeper.

Summary: Great film
Review: I read the critics reviews, but went anyway. It was a great film much better than star wars. It was fun, thats all, and when is that not wanted! My only critism was that Arnold Voslooo's character, at the end of the film, was VASTLY overdressed :)

Summary: A total waste of my money and time
Review: There is not much of anything good I can say about The Mummy. The truth is, Brendan Fraser can't carry a movie. The creative team behind the movie knew this, so they tried to jazz it up with lots of hokey special effects. The script was even worse. I do have one question, why didn't they show all of the plagues instead of only like four of them? But, anyway, this movie was just another let down in the mold of Godzilla (1998), because I was really looking forward to its release, but the hype was too much and the result was a horrible waste of my time and money.

Summary: This Movie Rocked!!
Review: I've seen this movie in the theater with my best friend. He and I both say that the last guy is a flake! He probably watches some Barbara Striesand B.S. The Mummy had tons of adventure and action to boot. Brenden Fraser is an awesome acter and he looks incredibly good in this movie. Not to mention his female counter-part. I'd check this movie out, and see for yourself.

Summary: IT'S ABOUT TIME
Review: For those of us who have waited for years for another Indiana Jones film, THE MUMMY, meets and exceeds expectation. This genera has been lacking for too long. We still love good, old fashioned, swashbuckling, action adventures and the box office numbers prove it.

Move over Harrison, there's a new action/adventure star and his name is Brendan Fraser. In this film, he has a persona that is reminiscent of Errol Flynn. For those of you who think he can't act, you probably haven't seen most of his work. (Still Breathing, School Ties, Gods and Monsters, George of the Jungle, Blast from the Past). His acting ability is so divers that most of the time I can't believe he's the same guy.

It looks as though Hollywood has finally gotten a clue. Mummy 2 is in the works.

Summary: The greatest adventure film of all time!
Review: The Mummy has all of the attributes of a great adventure story. Our hero is perfect for the role, along with a perfect "damsel in distress." All-in-all an exciting movie with hilarious jokes.

Summary: GREAT FUN! Can't wait to get the DVD!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this film. From the special effects to the "Indiana Jones" type feel to the plot (WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO RELEASE THE INDIANA JONES TRILOGY ON W/S DVD????????????). Brendan Fraser is great eye-candy as always, too! Can't wait to enjoy it again!

Summary: Very good movie, but, had too much comic releif.
Review: I thought the Mummy was very good. The Mummy had some good scary plots and good visual effects such as the bettle coming from the side of the face and into the Mummy's mouth. I did think they tried to be too funny to be a scary move. Young children should not see the movie.

Summary: The Critics were right: This movie blows
Review: OK. Brendon Frasier can't act, so they came up with a supporting cast that wouldn't make him look too bad. Translation: Bad acting across the board There are absolutely no redeeming qualities about this film. The Egyptians portrayed in this film are, to a man, bumbling, shady characters bent on trickery or murder. Pathetic. There was nothing scary about the Mummy himself. Most of the time they use a computer generated character (the kind we see in every "horror" movie these days) who is about as convincing as Jar Jar Binks. When the Mummy finally becomes a "real man", they use a bald, smirking goofball that runs around in a silly loincloth and looks like Right Said Fred. I saw this movie with friends and the sentence that was said out loud the most often was: "I can't believe how bad this is". Spend your money, take your chances

Summary: Shut your brain off and enjoy
Review: If you took this movie for no more then what it was, an adventure story, you'll love this movie. If you tried to put it up against it's nearest comparison (Raiders of the Lost Arc), you'll have a field day picking it apart. I simply sat back and enjoyed it for what the movie was able to give me, great special effects, a story with enough meat to at least keep me intrested, fairly likable characters, and a whole lot of action and running around. Seeing as how we haven't had an Indiana Jones movie in quite some time, I feel that this movie fills the remaining void quite nicely.
