Summary: I've been waiting for a version with the missing footage...
Review: Finaly, a version of 'Aliens' on tape that IS the original theatrical release. The only other place I have seen the missing footage was on Laser Disc at a friends house. Everything is now right in the world. I love this movie, it is the best. I hate what they've done with the Aliens in Alien 3, and Resurrection. And who cares about Ripley, I watch the movies for the Aliens, not the lady that keeps going, and going, and going. This is the best Aliens movie ever, and one of the best movies of all time, truely better that its predecessor. Now all they need is a theatical version of Aliens VS. Predator and we're set. And oh, the sentry gun scene is totaly worth the price of admission alone.

Summary: Aliens is the best movie out of the original trilogy!
Review: I played fox interactive's new game Alien vs. Predator, and I had already seen the first predator movie (really good, rent it), and I decided to rent Alien. It was alright. Then I rented Aliens. It is now on my top 7 favorite movies. I haven't seen Alien ressurection, but out of the original trilogy it is the best, I recommend it, (but then again Terminators 1 & 2 are good so it may be Jim Cameron). I haven't yet seen the DVD version, but buy it nevertheless. Don't take my word for it, rent the freakin movie. Buy the movie.

Summary: Aliens: quite easily the BEST action movie around!
Review: Aliens has always been my favorite movie in the whole quadlogy, for the overall exciting plot (it may sometimes be cheesy) and great special effects. It's a rarely good (in this case great) change from such a brilliant, suspensful movie like Alien, to a fast paced gun-ho marine shoot-em-up movie like Aliens. It works, don't ask me why, but it does; and the results are absolutely beautiful. The grainy film transfer to the beautifully crisp DVD makes even more worthwhile. Especially with the added scenes, like the very first scene on LV-426 with the colony family taking a little, but very, very suspenful and scary drive on the surface. The one added scene with Ripley (Weaver) and Hicks (Biehn) just before the alien hive is ripped to shreds, with class, by Ripley didn't really appeal to me though. The whole "Call me Dwaine" thing really made me think less of Biehn's character... for about five seconds, and did leave me chuckling to myself. Overall, this is one of the best movies ever made, and I would request it to any sci-fi buff who (for some odd reason) hasn't seen it yet.

Summary: 'Aliens' REALLY s**ks when compared to 'Alien'
Review: Why is EVERYONE so in love with Aliens? It just stomps its big, smelly military boots all over Ridley Scott's beautiful movie. Itreeks of kick-a** rawk attitude and mindless violence instead of the claustrophobic, close-in tension of the original. You don't even get any interesting characters who you can feel for when they get wasted - just gung-ho cannon fodder morons (duh... lets nuke it from space duh...) who because of their own stupidity end up getting wasted in droves. Does anyone really care when these characters start dying? I don't and I should - they're meant to be human beings, after all. On top of that, it just exploits and casts aside the work that was done in the first film in establishing the intelligence, hostility and mystery of the alien by making them out to be a bit like ants. When I saw 'Aliens' for the first time, I was so disappointed. Every time I see it I'm hoping to find some new depth, some new angle and it just isn't there. Do your brain a favour - buy the original (especially the awesome DVD version) and not this drivel.

Summary: ALIENS ARE A GREAT SCI-FI-ACTION MOVE!
Review: Ripley is back! Aliens have some great specialeffects, like in the action-sequens,when Vasques says let's rock. But the best charecter in Aliens is Bill Paxton (Hudson) And I like Michael bihen to (Hicks) This is the best Alien movie I have seen.

Summary: Whoo hoo...finaly the sentry guns on tape
Review: Yeah, I bought this one just for the 2 minutes of sentry gun footage heh

Summary: Definitely 5 stars
Review: The video transfer is extraordinary! The THX sound is fantastic, the dolby digital rocks! This is one of the best DVD's I've seen to date! The widescreen and extra footage is worth it, although, they probably could have left out the cheasy footage of Ripley asking about her daughter. The added scenes did seem to be a little less "crisp" than the rest of the movie, probably couldn't get as good of transfer on those because of the condition of the edited film. If you want action, and outstanding special effects, get this DVD. For any Alien fan, this DVD is a must buy! As usual, my one complaint is the layer transfer, they should do this during a black scene so it's not so obvious...

Summary: Whoa!!!
Review: I'll give this to you straight; this is one of the highest rates I've given to any movie. This movie is beyond my expectations for a sequel. The "Alien" was great, but this is even better. Not only it has more blood and gore than the original one, but it has better special-effects. I recommend this to anybody who is looking for a movie that has gore althoughout. Plus it's also a little colorful than the original. The robot fight was great.

Summary: The best get better - the added footage makes a difference
Review: Don't let anyone fool you, the added footage is critical to understanding the movie. Even though I am a "discerning" viewer, I could never figure out why someone as seemingly solitary as Ripley would attach herself to a little screaming munchkin. And why after all their preparation did the aliens, on the very first try, penetrate their defenses in the med lab????? The special edition answers it all. This movie was one of my favorites to start and it just got better.

Summary: Cameron's best film. (Yes, including the sinking ship movie)
Review: Non-stop action with characters you truly feel for. The cut scenes add to the drama. Run don't walk and buy it today.
