Rating: Summary: Great Special Effects, but bad acting. Review: Godzilla was just another Sci-Fi thriller that gives you a rush, but had mediocre acting. It had an O.K. plot. The Soundtrack was better than the movie.
Rating: Summary: BORING, BORING, BORING Review: One of the worst films of 1998 is here. I loved Jurassic Park but this is a pathetic imitation. How could the studio waste 120 million on this film? What posessed Roland Emmerich and Dean Develin to make this crap? Godzilla looked more convincing in the earlier pictures
Rating: Summary: Godzilla: An AWESOME Movie Review: "Godzilla" is one of the best movie that I've ever seen next to "Titanic" and "Armageddon." I like how it is fun, funny, and has alot of action in it.I have NO idea why why the critics hate it so much. It has good acting, good special effects, and an unpredictable plot line.I don't care what one person's (the critics) opinion is, "Godzilla" is still one of my favorite movies along with alot of my friends. It's an Awesome movie.
Rating: Summary: Hyper-zilla!!! Review: Whew..there's no slowing down this kick-butt monster. Godzilla is a joy to watch, but if your looking to find a plot good luck. Altough it's still nice to see him(GODZILLA) get a much needed update into the 90's. I truly hope to see a sequel with perhaps a better plot or just some nasty monstrous villian. All in all Godzilla still is "King of all Monsters".
Rating: Summary: Effects: 5 Stars Movie: 1 Star Review: I had been looking forward to the release of this movie since July 1997, when I saw the first teaser trailer. I have been a Godzilla fan since I was a small tyke. I looked forward to this film very much. I was, ultimately, disappointed. The script for this movie is so bad that I felt that my ears were going to bleed if I heard one word of the wretched dialogoue. There....I said the bad part. now, let's move on to the good. Namely, the creature and the action surrounding it. LOVED IT!!! I watch the chase through the city over and over again. It's just that much fun! The MSG sequence was as good and thrilling as any movie-goer could ask for. The final chase by an angry Godzilla of the stars was a thrillride. Every minute that GODZILLA or Jean Reno is onscreen, the movie is GREAT. Too bad that wasn't the whole movie and we were stuck with the other characters (or should I say stick figures drawn to appear as characters). See it...Enjoy it....Love it!! But go in with your ears ready to deal with some truly bad lines poorly spoken by miscast actors trying to make something of nothing.
Rating: Summary: Uh, well... Review: I'm a big fan of Roland Emmerich. I think he's one of the greatest finds of the 90's as far as film directors go. "Stargate" and "ID4" were fantastic. Godzilla is flawed. Matthew Broderick's acting in this film was oddly insufficient. (Did he REALLY want to do this movie?). Jean Reno was by far the most interesting as a French military man. Not the awful piece of puke that most people saw it as.(Hey folks, the new Godzilla is cool-looking if not the movie itself). But definitely not the strongest of Emmerich's films. Better luck next time.
Rating: Summary: It was okay, but boring. Review: It was diferent. Pretty good, but I don't know. It wasn't that good at all.
Rating: Summary: Worst Movie I ever Loved Review: No plot, poor to mediocre acting, BAD editing, (Godzilla was anywhere from 50 to 500 ft tall). But that said, It was an action packed joy ride from begining to end. I'm embarassed to say I loved it.
Rating: Summary: Although I thought the it was boring at times, I enjoyed it. Review: I can't help but say that this movie reminded me of Jurassic Park. It has the main idea of the monsters that reproduce unexpectedly and become a threat to human life. I still enjoyed it, though, because of the great special effects, funny French guy, and cute love story. The funny French guy was the best!
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Godzilla Is In Good Hands! Review: You've probably heard all of the reveiws on how Godzilla was a flop. I have. I know the cast was not perfect, and all the rain was annoying, but Godzilla has a soul. You pity the creature and/or hate it. That's what Godzilla is about. Anyway, the film opens a new world for the lizard king: New York. The scenes are realistic or scary. So, if your a true G-Fan, check this movie out. Look for the totally cool television series from FOX KIDS on Saturday Mornings!
