Rating: Summary: Toho Studios should sue for character assassination Review: When you find yourself (like me) looking at your watch repeatedly during a supposedly exciting film, you know the film stinks. I can't honestly say I had high hopes for this film, being a fan of the originals, but I was willing to give it a chance. Sadly, it didn't deserve it. Jean Reno was the only person who came out of this misguided project with any credibility. Poor Matthew Broderick looked completely lost, especially in the first half-hour or so he was on screen. And frankly, for a project whose main appeal seemed to be how fantastic the special effects would be compared to the Japanese films, the effects are surprisingly cheesy at times (check out the helicopter chase scene - can we spell FAKE-LOOKING COMPUTER-GENERATED TAT?) PS: Leaving one "Jurassic Park"-style baby dinosaur alive to carry on the story seems like wishful thinking in hindsight. With luck, TriStar won't make more of these films.
Rating: Summary: Another classic screwed up by Event Movie Hollywood Review: I have always been a big fan of Godzilla, so when I learned that a big budget, Americanized Godzilla movie was being released, I was overjoyed. However, reality soon dashed any hopes I had for this movie. First off, the acting is terrible. I have no idea who that blonde girl was (Broderick's girlfriend) but she gave one of the worst performances I've ever seen. Broderick himself gave a lackluster effort that at times was painful to watch. All of that could be forgiven if the story were up to par. However, Godzilla manages to screw up in about every way. First of all, why is Godzilla treking across America, from the Pacific Ocean to New York? Why not just nest in LA? It boggles the mind. Other goofy plot points include: Godzilla as an asexual organism, no atomic fire, the whole cough...cough..Jurassic Park...baby Godzilla attack scene. This movie is simply terrible. If you are lookng for a current Godzilla movie, go find Godzilla 1985 or Godzilla vs. Biollante. This over-hyped, over-blown mish-mash is not worth the effort to see.
Rating: Summary: awsome Review: this is a awsome collection of different musi
Rating: Summary: Misunderstood Masterpiece Review: With effects that blow away the man in a suit, Godzilla turned out to be the most breathtaking film of 1998. A masterpiece that is wrongfully attacked by critics, yet follows the same pattern as all Godzilla films have. See this one and you'll be convinced that Big "G" is the King of the Monsters!
Rating: Summary: Great CD Review: This CD has everything you could imagine! Rap (come with me), Rock (brainstew, no shelter, walk the sky), techno (deeper underground), soft stuff (air), 60's crud (undercover) and even comfort music (the two score tracks). The different styles blend nicely and give the CD a little bit for everyone.
Rating: Summary: WORLD WAR THREE BEGINS! Review: I THINK THERES GOING TO BE A SECOND ONE BECAUSE ONE BABY AT THE END IS LEFT!THERES GOING TO BE ANOTHER!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: awful awful Review: these guya tried to cash in after the succsess of id4 and made a ugly godzilla bad acting no script no story and just plain badness i would give it 0 stars if amazon had the option
Rating: Summary: This movie stinks Review: Whatever you do, don't buy this movie. Broderick is terrible and there is no plot, just some big monster trashing New York. The special effects are mediocre, and anything else isn't worth mentioning. If it was possible to give this movie no stars I'd do so. To tell the truth, if you want anything about godzilla get the sound track, which is okay.
Rating: Summary: not too shabby eh Review: i love some of these songs but others are total shite. but i suggest you get it..
Rating: Summary: Green Day and Puffy Review: Those two are the only reason to listen to this CD. Fairly large waste of time and money.
